We have a question for anyone processing K1 visa in Philippines, and have completed the medical exam. St Lukes website states they require a Letter with Case Number, which I assume must be a hard copy letter from NVC with the case number, does anyone know for sure if they will accept a photocopy or is it required i mail the original to my fiance in Philippines to take to the medical exam? Will they accept a printed screenshot from the CEAC website of the CEACStatTracker status showing the case number and Ready Status?

A screen shot of the case in the ready status is good enough for the Medical. Same thing with the NVC Case letter, a copy is just fine. When my fiancee went to interview they did ask for NVC Case letter. I scanned and sent it to her and that's what she provided to the embassy. I'm sure a screen shot of the CEAC status will work as well.

I am sure this may have been already covered, but I missed it......I am going thru Rapid Visa and I asked about preparing paperwork for the interview and medical exam ahead of time (just to be proactive).....and they said we'd get instruction from the Embassy 1-2 months after receiving petition from NVC. I really don't feel like waiting to hear from the Embassy to get things moving, so my question is this:

Once you received your NVC #, did you schedule your medical and embassy interview? If so, what do we need for setting up both of these?

I think in the past people may have had to wait until the Embassy received everything before they could schedule....but now it looks like this isn't the case anymore?! I know cases are different, etc, but 1-2 months doesn't seem right for waiting that long.

Feeling overwhelmed right now, which I am sure all of you can relate to :ranting::ranting::ranting:

I'm sure you know by now that paying for a service was a waste of money (I know, I hired an attorney before I found VJ -_-)

And the attorney told me the same thing, basically just wait, but there is no way I will wait for the last second, knowing there is a ton of stuff to do. I think it depends on the country, but I know for us, I cannot set up the interview until I get the NVC number, and we cannot get the medical done until we setup the interview. I believe the embassy has to have your file before you can schedule but it sounds like once NVC assigns the case number it gets to the embassy pretty quick! Good luck!!!

Speak for yourself! A visa service is NOT the same thing as hiring a lawyer, its nowhere near the cost, and a highly specialized team assisting you is far more helpful than a lazy lawyer who only wants to sit back and collect your money. I consider myself more knowledgeable on k1 than average, and there were MANY mistakes i would have made if I had not hired RapidVisa to help us, its only $375, why be cheap cmon you are bringing your loved one to the US.

wow... sorry, I definitely did not mean to offend you :( I just figured other people felt similarly to me (since I had read many times that people regretted hiring a visa service) after finding this website which has been lifesaving (if only I had found it sooner). But I am glad to hear that you are not in the same boat as me and that they were helpful for you guys. Good luck with your journey! :)

Supposedly, it depends on the embassy/consulate. For us, we have had to wait, confirmed directly from the embassy. You might want to directly contact your embassy and ask? Ours have been very responsive.

1-2 months seems very long for simply scheduling the interview--especially if they already have your petition. I haven't read anywhere about that happening from others.

I agree with you about hiring a lawyer. From our experienced My Fiance paid but nothing has done for us. Waste of TIME and MONEY.

We did file the petition by ourselves and I can tell is quite a bit stress since I am the only one doing the search and more reading. But luckily Fiance is very cooperative with what I want him to send to me. We shouldve known this RapidVisa long time before we filed. We could surely use their service but too late now.

Anyways, I also searched our case at CEAC website and is READY too! yey!!!

I got to ask what courier did you use to send your original I-134 form to Fiancee in Philippines? How long it takes? Thanks.

Congrats and God bless!

Part of me feels like it was a waste of money, but the other part thinks I eliminated many errors that I could have done had I filed on my own. I know of a few people that did their own visas and it took months, almost a year due to errors overlooked. Had I found VJ prior to this, things might have been different...but at least I found it now. Everyone has been such a huge help to me :)

Oh does anyone know about scheduling the medical exam at St Lukes Manila Philippines? I keep hearing people say they have scheduled their St Lukes medical exam in Manila for XX date, but when I went to the St Lukes website to register, there is NO PLACE on the site to "schedule" an interview, and the registration page says "ALL APPLICANTS WILL BE SERVED ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS. NO APPOINTMENT IS NECESSARY" which indicates you just need to arrive and walk-in without appointment? I'm confused, is this true?

There is no way you can schedule the medical. Like you posted it is first come, first serve basis. Just go ahead and register online at SLEC. (Filling out information) This will help her lessen her stress at SLEC by the time she will do her medical.

I haven't sent the package to my fiance yet, I'm still working on assembling the evidence, documents, pictures and organizing in an organized photo album and nice black cloth canvas file case, she will look prepared and professional when she arrives at her interview! I'll be finished preparing in a couple more days, i'll send to her using DHL since i had her use them to mail her required signed documents for the I-129F before we sent to uscis, it arrived from deep in province in Philippines to my home in Las Vegas US in less than 48 hours for about $22 (1000 peso).

Oh wow less than 48 hours? That is quick. We will use DHL too. I got to get the documents soon. coz I already booked appointment for my interview.

Thank you!
