One more question, when emailing the embassy for packet 3 (it was recommended that this be done), which number goes as the subject line? the NVc number or the USCIS number? Not sure which one takes precedence in terms of identifying our case from this stage onwards...

I've been kind of silently following everyone on here just to take in as much information as possible. I am overwhelmed with the order of doing things.....I do know the order it goes, but just want to get things done ahead of time if need be so we're prepared and not wasting time. I see that some are doing their DS-160 forms ahead of receiving their NVC #'s.....is this the best thing to do??? Also, any other recommendations for preparing anything ahead of time???

We just got our NOA2 last Monday, so I am thinking next week I will start calling NVC to check status...with that being said, emailing or phone is better??? Thanks all!! I love seeing everyone's updates and everyone moving forward with their journey!!!

Emailing has about a 3-4 day response time, waste of time imo, its much faster and easier to just call.

NVC Immigrant Visa Number is 603-334-0700
NVC Non-Immigrant Visa Number is 603-334-0888
Either number you call can check the status of your petition regardless if you have a fiance or marriage visa!

Thank you for the advice and for the numbers!!!
