Hi @ all!
Congratulations to all who are already married or at least have a visa in hand.

Unfortunately we aren't so lucky, but by now I am starting to wonder what is wrong with our petition.
We didn't get an RFE and received our NOA2 in early July. In August NVC sent it back to USCIS because there was a signature missing (not one of mine or my fiancé, it was a mistake caused by USCIS and NVC found it) it took them until Sept. 21st to approve it again.
We have a case number (since weeks) and by calling NVC we found out they received our petition with NOA2 dated from Sept. 21st on Oct. 5th. Despite being over the estimated days (5 or 6 according to VJ and timelines of other petitioners who got their NOA2 around the date (in September) we did) it is still at NVC. And they can't tell us when it'll be processed. Why??

Is there anything we can do to speed up the process? It seems odd that our case is delayed in every section for no reason.

We did it ourselves using VJ's K1/K3 AOS guide and numerous posts around the forums. Spent a lot of hours filling out the paperwork and reading+re-reading the instructions. Always happy to save money and not leave it to someone who might not care as much or have an attention to detail -- prime examples are errors that were on our marriage certificate and errors on her birth certificate translations.

Now we just wait to see if we did everything correctly, haha

Question, does the *beneficiary* write his /her own cover letter unlike the K1 ? Or does the USC still write an AOS letter describing the packet contents. Thanks

My wife (K1 beneficiary) wrote a cover letter explaining the all package contents (I-485, I-765, I-131 and required proofs). I (USC) wrote a cover letter for the I-864 (affidavit of support required for I-485) explaining what I included for that in particular. I'll upload both later if I have enough time to redact

Went through K-1 (I-129F) AOS (I-485) EAD (I-765) AP (I-131) processes. Thanks to the Visa Journey community for their help and support!

Attached... I included a little more than required, but wanted to make sure everything was covered. When we got copies from the town hall, they gave us certified transcripts... which are nearly identical to certificates, but are only titled differently. Also proof that I am a USC. I included the same proof for I-765 and I-131, but forget which parts are extra for which
