Anyone on here have an appointment at 0815 on Monday, August 22nd? Fiance said she came across one whom has an appointment an hour before her but everyone else were going through the process to go to other countries other than the US. She said there was hardly any K1's at all there. She was surprised.

Still no NVC letter and I don't expect to see one prior to the interview on the 22nd. Hoping that doesn't cause any issues.

Yes!!! We have mixed feelings but positive. We are mostly excited but having those pre-interview jitters. My fiancé is also bringing a Medical Clearance from a previous surgery. She contacted St. Luke's and they recommended that if she had surgery before to bring a medical clearance. Maybe my fiancé will see your fiancé at the medical and/or interview!!! It would be comforting. Best of luck!!

Yes, positive! Good luck to all of us!!! :) My fiance will be waking up early to line up for medical at St. Luke's later, hehe. Keep on praying guys! :)

Hey everyone, just popping in to say hi...I've taken a little break from VJ for the past few days.

I am still awaiting word from our embassy because they schedule our interviews down here....more waiting....sigh. The good news is that my fiance and I have gathered everything and we are just waiting for the green light to get the medical done.

Congrats bigant!!! And congrats to any other approvals I've missed! So happy for you guys....bigant do notttt forget to let me know how POE goes because I'm coming to H-town too.... :)

Will do, but its looking more and more like POE will be in Honolulu, LAX, or in Portland with these darn changing airline prices.... But will let you know How it goes

My case left nvc on 7/20, but it still says intransit to the Bangkok embassy. Anyone else still waiting for their fiancé to get their packet? What can I do if they still have not received my case?

Hi!

When I had my medical exam, I had a fellow K1 applicant who came in with colds. We were done with the whole process around noon time, but she was told to come back in the afternoon. She was told that her chest x-ray reflected a problem, and was recommended to take the 3-day sputum test.

I have asked about this matter from the people working at SLEC, they said that the US EMBASSY in MANILA is known to be very strict when it comes to Chest XRAY results. Any haziness or opacification on the xray film could suggest presence of "infiltrates", which has to be investigated for Tuberculosis.

I wish you good luck! :)

Note:

I am writing based on my experience, not to scare you or something.

Fiancé was just approved at the US Embassy in Manila!!!:dance::dance::dance:

For those of you stressing about having not received any correspondence from the NVC, no need to fret. :dancing: My fiancé went in with no letter or email from NVC, and when they asked for it she simply provided the screenshot of "ready" status and explained that we have received nothing from the NVC. They only use this to verify MNL#. They quickly stamped and returned it and she proceeded with the process. Hope this helps a few of you.

Good luck to all with upcoming interviews!

I think you could keep calling everyday to inquire about your case? Or ring the USCIS to see what happened? I know this could be very frustrating, but for now, you could tell your fiance to start gathering her documents (for the interview) as everything will move so fast once you receive your case number!

Keep faith! :)

You and your fiancee could now start gathering the documents she will be needing for her interview! Once your case is "ready", you can schedule the medical examination and the interview! :)

This could be country-specific though. Try on checking the US Embassy's (in Thailand) website, they should have the information you need! :)

Glad to hear. Just bring in the nvc ready status showing your MNL#

After a few days of being "in transit" it will switch to "ready" which means that it has been received by the embassy. You can also ring the embassy and ask them if they have received your case.

After an RFE, our case was finally approved! NOA2 August 15! Okay so now, give our case 10 or so days to get to the NVC and then start calling to see if it has arrived and to get the case number so we can schedule his interview? Correct?

In the meantime, I should be preparing the Affidavit of Support and what else?
