I (USC) received a letter from the NVC with our case #. It says "the Embassy will contact your fiance when they are ready to process his or her petition." Haha, yea right. Interview is already scheduled. I'm so glad VJ exists.

HAHAHA I like that!! Im glad too. There is no way I would have been able to get this far without this place and the people. Good luck on the interview :dancing:

Has anyone who has their NVC number been able to pay the fees in order to schedule the interview on the same day as receiving the NVC number? I got mine today, called up Bangladesh's stateside visa hotline, told to go on:

https://cgifederal.secure.force.com

After adding the NVC number, and DS160 confirmation number etc., it's asking me to have my fiancé go to a bank in Bangladesh and pay the fees. According to the instructions, we can schedule our interview the next business day after paying the fees.

I know this varies from country to country, but does any of this sound familiar for anyone else? Could it really be that we could schedule as early as Friday? My lawyer is saying to wait another four weeks, and that we can't do anything until the NVC sends us the "Fee Bills". Would there be any reason to hold off if the system lets us schedule it, other than getting all of the documents, which won't be a problem?

Yesss! I assume your fiance has 1 child hence the 2 case numbers? My fiance has 2 children, so we had MNLXXXXXXXXX 01 MNL Ready, MNLXXXXXXXXX 02 MNL Ready, MNLXXXXXXXXX 03 MNL Ready. Even though were bringing her kids later this year on K2 follow-to-join, they still assign them each case numbers and Beneficiary ID numbers.

Btw our NVC status changed to READY yesterday evening, so last night we scheduled the Interview and cfo seminar, and registered for her medical exam...

2016-08-01 8:00AM Medical exam
2016-08-02 9:00AM CFO seminar
2016-08-09 7:30AM Interview

Looks like our fiances are going to the interview same day?

I'm gonna have her do the medical this Monday, then the CFO seminar the following day on Tuesday, that way the CFO seminar is finished out of the way and hopefully by end of day Tuesday St Lukes should have her medical documents ready to pickup. By finishing the CFO seminar before the visa is issued, she will need to return to CFO after she has Visa On Hand to get the CFO stamp placed onto the visa, but that should only take a few minutes and at least she wont have to spend half a day doing the seminar immediately before she leaves Philippines.

Thanks K-1 that solves the riddle... We have ours at 815.. so they probably will be in the waiting area together... If everything stay the same with the VISA's should have in hand no later than the 16th or 17th

Does anyone know how long it takes to receive the NVC hard copy letter with the case number, after NVC issues the case number? We have our case number and were interviewing at Manila Philippines embassy, but we need the NVC hard copy letter with the case number visible so we can send a copy to order my fiance's Hong Kong police clearance, apparently Hong Kong requires an official hard copy letter from the requesting embassy clearly showing the case number, then they will mail the police clearance directly to the requesting embassy.

8 days for us. See timing in my signature.

Also , is it better to do the CFO first prior to interview?

It depends on your situation what works best for you. If you do the cfo 4 hour seminar before interview then you must return to cfo to get the sticker after have you the visa in hand so they can place it onto your visa. but if you do the cfo seminar after you already have visa in hand then you can get the sticker same day after the 4 hour seminar.

For us its better to do the cfo seminar before interview since my fiance lives 11 hours north of manila in province and she will already be in manila for the medical exam, it will give her something to do while she waits st lukes to release her medical documents next day, then she can just return to cfo to get the sticker after she pickup the visa at 2go Mall of Asia.

If you live in or near Manila then maybe its more easy for you to do the cfo seminar and sticker after the interview after you receive your visa in hand.

DITTO!!!!!!!!!

Its almost over my fellow April Partiers........ :dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing:
