Just checked mine...its also in transit! I must say my fiance and I are so surprised at how quickly things seem to be happening overall. When we first applied we were hoping for a January POE but even our relatively short wait for NOA2 has shortened our timeline significantly. We have had to change our plans a bit but we are so grateful! And hoping for a smooth, quick process from here on out.....

KandiKandi was just watching a special on VICELAND(Channel) about Trinidad.. and I met more Trinidad females when I was living Maryland DC area than any part of the US from Dr.'s to hair-dresser's( when I use to get my hair twisted once a month) and all had a quick tongue and will let you know whats on their mind and no BS.... and loved hanging out with them... best of luck on your journey as your timeline has been speeded up

To piggyback off of your comment I will raise this question to anyone who might have knowledge... How long did it take for anyone to receive notification by snail mail from the NVC? The hard copy of NOA2 came very fast as if they sent it out at the same time as the approval. But we need to obtain a police clearance from Hong Kong and they will only issue that clearance with the letter from NVC and that is why I have that question.

I'm interested in that as well...will update when we get ours because I haven't seen anyone else announce when they received theirs.

Day 99 waiting for NOA2!! Called and got through to USCIS who said that unless we've been waiting 5 months or more, they won't look into anything. She did say our file was there though and not lost. I can only keep clock watching........???

Were in the same situation, we need to wait our NVC hard copy so we can order Hong Kong police clearance! I'm adding you to friends so we can stay in contact with each other if you dont mind, i'm gonna have my fiance start gathering the required documents so she will be ready to send the order request to HK as soon as she receives the NVC hard copy, hope it arrives soon! :clock:

Good news and bad news! Bad news is I didn't call NVC yesterday because I was so upset finding out my ex-wife who is also my best friend still, was diagnosed with stage 4 lung and liver cancer last weekend and has a 2% chance of living more than 6-12 months, but the good news is I just called NVC and they received our petition yesterday, and assigned a case number and invoice number, only 22 days after NOA2 June 28! Yay making fast progress! :thumbs::dancing:

Wow... Sorry to hear about your ex wife :'(

As for the letter I have been told a week to 2 weeks. If it even comes. A lot of people never even received it.

Call again around 8:00-8:30PM Pacific time tonight, from what I observed they have been assigning the NVC case number same day as petition received!

May I ask...what are their hours? do they staff the phones 24 hours? Thank you!

For those that have called to get NVC number, do you still get notice via email? And how long after you called were you contacted?

I'm trying to be patient, but I'm just wondering, if I don't call every day, will I ever get it?

So I got an email. But at the same time I also submitted a query two days. So I feel like its in response to that. I'm not sure if they'd send another one . I'll see

got the email this morning 7/14/16 around 4:15am pst. post decision activity. my noa2 was 7/6/16. I'm taking this as my app has been sent to nvc. For those that receive a case number please post your email/notice date as well so we can create a timeline from the email to obtaining a case number.

We have the same NOA2 dates! COngrats!!

if its not to much to ask, would you let me know when NVC receives you case?

07/06/2016: Text that my case was approved (68 days)

07/12/2016: hardcopy NOA 2 (6 days)

07/27/2016: NVC received my petition (21 days from NOA2)
07/28/2016: NVC assigned a case number (1 day)
