As I keep repeating, there is a puffiness to fat American s that doesn't exist with fat Europeans, Japanese etc. In American women it collects around the butt. I have seen skinny women with quite large butts compared to their European/Japanese counterparts.

Repeat,.. Food chain is screwed in the States.

If you have lived outside of N/s America you will be more aware of this phenomena....good night.

I know you say that, you are wrong - there is bias at work.

A euro butt at 100 pounds more is the same as an American butt 100 pounds more. It is not the food chain. Basic science says you are wrong - and you are - we cut them open the fat is exactly the same.

Different *races* may look different because they have to gain or more or less that 100 pounds to have the same size butt but diet and NOTHING to do with it.

again, i know what your are saying, you are wrong - unless the laws of physics changed.

Indeed. And while I wouldn't recommend drinking coke in any case, if you insist, make sure it's the Mexican one in the glass bottle as that one still has sugar in it. The American ones for a long time now have replaced that with corn syrup. In Israel, also they still make it with sugar and my wife was delighted to have coke with sugar instead of corn syrup once again. It tastes different, too.

Americans are pretty notorious worldwide for unhealthy eating habits. I used to know someone who would jokingly call the US "United Steak of America". Obviously steak isn't supposed to be unhealthy like say a burger usually, but it sounds better.

The difference between Mexican coke and American coke is that there is ONE extra hydrogen bond between two molecules that your body breaks down a few minutes after drinking making them exactly the same. If a person could drink hundred of billions of gallons of coke there still would be no discernible difference in the body between the two.

if you are are fat its because you eat too many calories. Consume less.

Cane sugar really is no better for you than hfcs, though. Both are going to give you the beetus.

Obesity related illnesses are killing more Americans than any other single cause, yet the government pays only lip service to it. Spends more time debating guns than heart disease. Remember all the town halls Obama has had about finally trying to solve the obesity epidemic? Me, neither.

The good news is in the past 5-10 years everyone seems to finally be catching up to the fact that sugar is singularly the worst macro-nutrient, so at least those who like eggs and nuts can finally at them without feeling guilty that gold fish are healthier.

There are subtle differences in the way they are both processed by the body; With Glucose the body has several options - convert it into energy, store it as fat or convert it into triglycerides. Fructose doesn't directly boost blood sugar because it is processed in your liver, where it's converted directly into fat, which can boost your blood lipid levels and increase levels of triglyceride in your bloodstream. Also, they tend to use more fructose than they do sugar wherever they use it instead of sugar, and that they use it in alot of things these days. So while it is not necessarily much worse than sugar, if you want to lower your total consumption of fructose, and this is more severe for those who are already overweight, then you would want to at least have some choice of products that contain sugar vs fructose wherever possible.

Omw,,,you are obviously the type who likes to have the last word...so be it.

I am not talking about actual weight, but appearance.

Think whatever you want...I stick by my claim of puffiness and screwed up American food chain.

You can claim whatever you like, but you're wrong. Your claim makes no sense physiologically and has no science to back it up.

Good luck!

Lol.

Yeah, and I have also heard the locals in the islands I have been diving in snigger about all the extra weights they have to add on to the tourists so that they can "sink"- ;)

lol weights can be confusing at times. They can't always get it right and then you'll see them picking up rocks and shoving them in the belt as well to make you heavier lol. Personally two 8 kilo weights seem to work perfect for me every single time, but I know people that have been diving for a while and have to keep trying to change things because it never works for them. I think part of it is also many that are diving for the first or second time don't know how to position themselves properly. If you start in a horizontal position while still too close to the surface you will never go down. You have to start vertical and let ALL air out of your lungs and I've seen many not realize that. And then the rest of us sit down there and wait for 5 minutes while we watch the instructor above us try to get them down lol

True, cane and fructose sugars don't hit the blood stream the same way. Both are terrible. I love them, though :)

Good luck!

You should definitely go diving in Palau, before the coral is destroyed... And as I said visit jellyfish island and snorkel...great experience.

I hate snorkeling. I honestly would rather be 120ft under with a regulator, than snorkeling on the surface, completely different feeling. Snorkeling does not feel comfortable or natural to me. When people tell me "I can't dive because even snorkeling scares me" my response usually is "that's because snorkeling IS scarier than diving". Just my take. Yes, Palau is on the list. I do hate how uncareful people are about hitting the corals, most of them are so unprofessional and have horrible buoyancy, and the dive masters don't pay enough attention.

eat too many sweets lol, it's affecting their thinking.

Dr. Perlmutter, Dr. Davies, so many others have made quantum leaps in new research and discovery since the outdated "just count calories, all is the same."

No it's not. What you eat, no matter the calories, matters and you become WHAT you eat. Puffiness that was talked about comes from wheat and too many carbs, chemicals and fructose, sugar.

Read micro versus macro nutrients, The Grain Brain and The Wheat Belly.

Nutrition is very complicated and affects every organ of our body. I guarantee you that 3# of broccoli doesn't equal 3# of Twinkies.

Good nutrients + exercise = common sense and health.

Our American diet, full of chemicals and fructose, is terrible. Yes, I blame the food industry for that but I have only myself to blame if I buy and eat it.

That still is no excuse for the industries to produce the poison they do.

That would also explain in places such as certain areas of Africa etc, where they don't eat much yet some are very puffy.

Me too. But for the jellyfish lake, you have to snorkel. It's a totally surreal experience, swimming amongst all these beautiful, stingless jellyfish.
