guys they changed my name in the applicant information.

they added FNU in the end, what does that mean?

FNU = First Name Unknown

It looks like they changed the entire name to be in the Last Name field. If I were you, I'd post this as it's own thread so you can get answers from everyone else on VJ and see if that's common or if it has a purpose or if it's an error somewhere. You'll definitely want to make sure the name is correct at interview when talking to the Consular Officer.

I completed my ds261 form. I was told by agent I can pay the $120 right away? I'm already afraid to try because I don't know if I reset my time since I didn't get a confirmation page and had to go back in

I thought I replied to this post but clearly I didn't.

The same thing happened to me in CEAC. my husband's name changed from "last name, first name" to "First name middle name last name, FNU" I called NVC and they assured me that it is showing correctly on their side in the system and it wouldn't cause any issues with the VISA. I called back 2 other times and was told the same thing. the last person told me if I wanted it to change on CEAC to send an email to NVCInquiry address with a copy of my husband's biographic data page of his passport that shows his correct name and they would fix it. I told them it was correct on their website until that day and they have his passport information already yet I have to send another email just for this?? she confirmed.

Long story short, I did and less than 2 weeks later his name was changed back to "last name, first name"

I had also PM'd other people that has posted about this happening to them and was reassured that when they got their visa, the name was printed correctly.....they didn't bother submitting the request to have the name corrected.

Since you already have CC, I don't know if they would be able to update anything. my immigration attorney said when you arrive at the interview, you can also mention that it showed FNU and it shouldn't. the CO may be able to correct it too.

You went back in to the DS-261 form? just call NVC and ask them to review the form with you over the phone, no big deal. don't worry.

If you're in the beginning part of the NVC stage, which you are if you're paying your AOS fee and completing your DS-261, there's no time that gets reset. You can pay the $120 at anytime if it's available to pay.

How exciting!!!! yeah before coming to NVC I got jnformed about everything I started following a bunch if timelines and saw that it only took them 8-10 business days to get a case number so I called on the 7th business day and they had just assigned our case number I was so excited. I'm excited for you!! I hope you get it by Wednesday. They're doing really well on keeping the process smoothly so far.

I don't think so. It will ask for your bank routing number and U.S. bank account number. you can find that information at the bottom of your check.

HALLELUJAH!!! 42 days and 3 checklists after when I should've gotten a case complete, I FINALLY HAVE CASE COMPLETE!!!!

Thank you everyone for all your support and encouragement! This VJ is an amazing community.

A BIG thank you to MrsAzzi for telling me which supervisor helped her....she knew her stuff and helped complete my case too!

An especially HUGE thank you to LoveinGhana! we've come a looooong way my friend! along that way we have had many therapy sessions via phone and text message. I couldn't have gotten through NVC without you. We will get through this next part too!
