Did you get your NOA 2 hardcopy yet? My case was sent to NVC one day after NOA 2 (USCIS updated the status online) and was recieved a week later. Found out by calling NVC. Then 8 days later a called again and got my case # and IIN. You can always call and ask NVC. Make sure you've got your receipt number if you do.

Check out the timeline / signature for detailed Infos on that. And those of other members ☺

Hi @Rosegrove, I have received my NOA2 hardcopy. I called NVC day before yesterday and they haven't received my case. I'm worried its been three weeks and NVC yet haven't received my case from Potomac service center,

Did you sign up for text/email notifications on https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do? If so, you may get a text/email notification saying your case was sent to Department of State (aka NVC). give it at least a week after that for NVC to receive your case. then start calling NVC to confirm they received it. Then wait another week and start calling for your case number and Invoice number.

If you didn't sign up for the notifications, have you called NVC to see if they have received your petition from USCIS? if you haven't, no harm in calling them. Just be sure you have your USCIS Receipt number ready.

I wish you a smooth visa journey!

Hi @LinJoe, yes I have signed up for text and email notification. The last notification says your i130 was approved. Its been three weeks and they haven't received my case at the NVC. Btw congratulations on getting your case completed :-)

I've seen it take anywhere from 1-2 weeks to almost a month to reach NVC. And another 1-2 weeks for a case number to be assigned. It's been 3 weeks since your NOA2 so I'd call to at least find out if they received the case.

Hi @JASM, yep 3 weeks and counting.. still no sign of them receiving my case. Called NVC and they haven't received it yet. No updates on the online USCIS portal either.

My cc was march 25 , do you think i can have an interview in may ???

I thought you just got cc on April 25th? May interviews were done being scheduled at the end of March. Once they start scheduling again, it'll be for the month of June. Once you have an interview, you can submit a request to the embassy directly asking for an earlier interview date and time, but you have to provide a valid reason for it. From what I've read they (embassies) don't just approve earlier interview requests easily.
