what do i need to fill up for the affidavit of support?

My dad will be my cosponsor.

but he files taxes with my mom.

is it okay to fill up the IV form even thought I havent send the aos and iv packet?

Hi Guys,

USCIS notified me by email/text that my husband's case was finally sent to NVC on 4/13/16. How long does it take for it to get to NVC? it's going from Nebraska service center. I would really appreciate former Nebraska filers to inform me how long it took for NVC to receive their cases and especially when do you guys recommend I start calling? I have everything ready and pre-filled out. I have the IV packet complete already currently working on having the AOS packet ready for the first payment. I just want to get on and finish fast. I want my husband already Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I know how you feel! My wife's took 4 calendar days (Sent 3/30 Rcvd 4/4)

So, something to keep in mind though - I got a case # on 4/12 but STILL can't pay (nor can anyone seemingly pay who got a case # after April 8th). So you've not really lost any time.

my case took 4 days to reach NVC and a week to get a case # but we can't pay the AOS fee because their system is down for anyone that got # after April 8 and an agent told me it can take 42 days from April 14 so welcome to the wait! Edited April 16, 2016 by war teacher

Yes, it's a good sign that it's complete but you should always call NVC to confirm.

Affidavit of Support (Form I-864) and provide it to the intending immigrant to submit at

their interview. At that time, a consular officer will make a decision regarding this

requirement.

its weird..my dad is my sponsor. his total income was 76000 in his 1014 for 2015.

is it because i only sent one year tax return??

So on my NVC invoice it says "If you are unable to submit a payment online, please contact the NVC to arrange for an alternate payment method."

I'm going to see what that "alternate payment method" is... no way I'm waiting "up to 42 days" to fix a silly code issue.

I didn't get that option. All mine say " the selected case # & invoice identification # combination u entered does not match our records. please try again or contact the national visa center for further assistance.

So apparently the alternate method is via mail, but it comes with a catch - an "up to" 21 day processing time instead of the "up to" 7 day processing time to do it online. So if it's not fixed by Tuesday I may just have to go this route...(and of course they'll probably fix it the day after I send in the mailed payment lol)

Here is the payment info: (Apparently I can't post the link, but google nvc po box 790136 (The only difference I see between this and what I was told is that the addressee is "NVC C Processing Center" )

Oh lord lol how long has this issue been going on? Has it been more then two weeks? Why can't they fix it. I thought they had geniuses working in government jobs. We all just wanna pay a fee. I don't think I've ever been eager to pay any of the fees but after what you guys are going through I will be joyful to pay lol
