I got a checklist after 9 days cc was confirmed. So the second scan date was March 14th. Sorry. Forgot to updated my timeline.

Hey folks I need some advice/help:

I am preparing our paperwork for the NVC and I seem to be questioning myself with regard to the documents to send, specifically my long form birth certificate. I assumed my spouses last name and this changed all my documentation (passport, drivers license, health card, social insurance number, taxes, etc.) except for my birth certificate. You have to do a legal name change to have your birth certificate changed, however in Canada and the USA you are able to assume your spouses last name versus doing a full legal name change. So my question is...am I fine keeping with the assumption of my spouses last name and submitting my birth certificate as is?

From what I've read on this site, you'll get an email in about a week saying your case is complete and you are placed in queue for an interview. Mumbai will start scheduling interviews by the last week of the month for the month of June.
