:crying: I think I might have messed up.

I sent my documents to the address listed on the state department's website

National Visa Center

Attn: DR

31 Rochester Ave. Suite 100

Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914

But on the NVC welcome letter, the address shown is

National Visa Center

31 Rochester Ave. Suite 200

Portsmouth, NH 03801-2915

The tracking says delivered. Did I screw it up?

i dont think you should panic. Everything went to the NVC processing center. It's just different departments were they process different things I guess. As long as you included each corresponding Cover letter with case number written everywhere, and also identifying if its AOS or Supporting Documents. You should be fine.

Someone else can chime in though.

Correct. it's in the building. they will get it to the correct department. Don't panic, you're ok.

Hey peeps...it's me again. I know I'm asking alot of questions but this whole NVC process can tell on your nerves and I guess due to the fact that my case has been here over a year my mind is refusing to believe that I would get CC..it's sad. Like I said before we sent our AOS and Iv packages since last year but my husband or myself never got any confirmation don't know if the people at the agency got any cause they're not really giving us any info...anyway we sent that and we didn't get any confirmation but when the agent realized the ds260 was incomplete he sent it in and that's when we got the 30 days notice. My question is...why did we get the email saying they received our 'documents' when it was just the ds260 that we sent?

It seems you have put alot of faith in an agency that has truly screwed up your process and delayed you a year.

Have you even called NVC?

If not ypu need to and you can ask

"When did you receive our AOS and IV package?

"When was our DS-260 submitted?

You need to call and find our stop depending on these people. A year. No way they would get no second chance.

Call now NVC is open until midnight Eastern time.

Tell us what happens?

So I know that my case was received at the NVC not too long ago, but I see people getting their case #'s sometimes in a week. So I've called Friday and today (no case # yet) but was going to continue calling on a daily basis. However, I got to thinking - has anyone ever had the folks at the NVC get annoyed with them for calling every day? =) Just curious, as I'd hate to be "that guy"... even though I'm only on the phone actually talking with them for about 15 seconds!

Has it been at least a week? it would be a miracle if you received your case and Invoice number before 1 week. the earliest I've seen it, including for myself, was a week after NVC confirms receiving the petition.

naa, you can call everyday. they are used to it. they say up to 42 days but you'll get it much sooner than that.

Well, ours are the same receive date, so hopefully they'll be assigned at close to the same time! =D I'll definitely post when I hear something.

It's been one week today, and nothing so far. I'll just keep calling every day, I don't really mind - I'd rather know as soon as possible to get things submitted as quickly as possible. If they do say something like "Look, you've called here every day now, please stop" I'll post it so others know =D

Quick Question anyone here.

The person who will serve as my joint sponsor insists that he does not need to provide his tax returns. He says that the employer letter, and W2 served just fine for him ( he recently sponsored his minor son to the USA).

I dont want to to pressure him on this but I was pretty sure that NVC requests the most recent tax returns for ALL sponsors including joint sponsor. Someone shed some light please. My joint sponsor is already doing a lot , I wish to minimize his work and disclosure.

THanks alot.

Your sponsor needs to provide tax returns or transcripts. Read the instructions, (specifically pages 7 and 8).
