That's good! I'm still debating if I should call to ask that if they started scheduling for Taipei embassy .....lol

No just Bangladesh would be on high alert. A University professor was killed last week. Machete death. It's been a issue there with bloggers. But this was a Embassy employee. So who knows'

JASM and Mrsgbovo have either of you husbands gone to get Visa yet or call the Visa center to see if ready?

Hey Dwheels,

My husband traveled back to Abuja on Saturday so he wasn't able to stop by the collection center. But I called the Visa Center yesterday and was told that even though the status says issued we should wait for an email from the embassy confirming that the visa is ready before going to pick it up. We haven't received the email, but my mother in law is traveling to Lagos tomorrow, so she will check and pick it up if it's ready. I'll definitely let you know.

I pray that your husband feels better very very soon. All this stress and anticipation before the interview must have worn him down a bit. We will surely miss you on here tomorrow :( , but journey mercies to you both and I can't wait to hear the good news on Thursday!! :D

Thanks dwheels,but is there anyone out of the two u naija vjers can recommend, maybe one is less hassle than the other..

My husband went to Children's Place. It normally takes about 3 days from the start of medical to pick up results. He started on Friday, picked up results on Tuesday. He had no issues.

I hear Q-life is cheaper, but I think the results take a little longer. The thread below may help.

Well it 's a wait and see. Because I really don;t know what will be happening at your embassy. You know a US Embassy employee was killed Sunday there. So don't know. All is for certain you are in the queue. Hope for the best.

The US Embassy employee was hacked to death by a branch of Al-Quaeda - because he was gay. To some readers here, this won't matter, but to those of us who have lived in fear all our life because we love someone of our own gender, this is a very sad story.
