Today is the big day, my husband arrives to the US later today. I will pick him up from the airport myself. I'm excited yet I still don't believe it. Being in a long distance relationship for nearly three years still seems so surreal that distance will no longer separate us. It probably wont hit me until he's inside my car lol.

I just hope these hours of work left pass by fast and drive straight to the airport!

I've always dreamt of this day... this is crazy. Finally. (L):dance:

And remember more fun paperwork in 2 years if married under 2 years. But at least that's document paper work and pics No chats and such (that would be weird). :goofy:

2.8 weeks will absolutely fly by!!! So you have your t-shirts made yet!!??

Nooo more paperwork. I am going to have to read up on this AOS since I don't really know what is involved. At least we will have 9-10 months of paperwork break before it all begins again.

Just paid hubby's green card fee, now we only have the $120 border fee next Thursday at POE. Our wallet is going to be happier too!! :goofy:

Aww, congratulations! Traveling mercies for your husband and I hope that the moment he touches down at the airport and you see him will be all that you dreamed it would be! I can only imagine the excitement you must feel. :)

My husband and I have been together for almost three years as well so I know the distance hasn't been easy! But I'm day dreaming of that day when he arrives in the U.S. and I see him come through that immigration checkpoint. I'm normally a composed person but don't know if I'll be able to contain my emotions that day lol. Last week my mom told me that as she was taking a nap she dreamt about my husband being here and she came over to my place to meet him. She said she wasn't even thinking about him. So it lifted my spirits, I know our time is soon ;)

You're no longer dreaming, this is real for you! Hope this day flies by so you can go get your husband! :D:dance:

We will be celebrating anniversary here in Enugu. We plan to announce at Party "oh by the way I am moving to America I leave in 1 week". Oh my.

As each day nears I swear we getting on each others nerves. He don't want to hear daily countdown (20 days for me, 13 for you :dancing: ) but he asked everyday "have they touched our file yet". Than he says "they know we watching so they probably have it but not updating. LOL

lol, your husband is funny. I think deep down he wants to hear the countdown. I bet you if you stopped telling him the countdown (19 days for you, 12 for me ;)) he'd still ask for it.

Today my husband booked his flight for Lagos. Will be leaving next Thurs, the 14th to arrive in Lagos that evening. He'll be going for medicals next Friday the 15th and should hopefully be done and have medicals in hand by the following Tuesday the 19th. We wanted to leave an extra day in between just in case. Can't believe the time is almost here! :D

Please don't go by what NVC says. If you updated your AOS information (filed current year that's an update), then an updated I-864 you need to do. Have with you at interview you can voluntarily hand over or wait until asked If not asked great if asked you have.

Some CO's ask some don't. I have seen more so with those that are close to poverty guidelines or those with joint sponsors. It just depends.

Ok, will do. Thanks for the advice!
