Hello! i got CC on Apr 4, called NVC to confirm it and they said they are going to send my papers to us embassy manila.. but until now the status of my case in ceac site still says "at NVC". is this normal?

Saw this post late but I read that you figured it out. I see the nerves have hit you too my friend. I been busy printing and organizing our evidence in date order as well as labeling. As you would always give me advise. If you realize it is getting overwhelming just take a breather and have a drink and relax and get rest and start again with a fresh pair of eyes and what I also tend to do is look at some who have their check list and compare it to mine in case I forgot to add anything else. For example I completely forgot that I needed to print a copy of the DS260 confirmation page. Read an earlier post and saw it and I could slap myself for forgetting. That's why it's good that we are organizing well in advance and not last minute.

Thanks so much. Odd thing is, as in was going along this process I maintained 1 organized binder of EVERYTHING with labels and saved everything on a jump drive (in folders)...so I have everything...its was just a temporary lapse in sanity..it's all good now.

And the odd thing is..although hubby and I have a ways to go go for the interview...I do feel like I'm behind the 8 ball??and I actually don't have much to do but put interview required items in a labeled folder, label items in "back up" and I'm done.

Helps that I purchased a printer earlier in the process?...

I really think VJ should have a downloadable app with notifications..I hate to not be reminded and also not being able reply instantly..We would be swarming with more users than Whatsapp.

Yesterday I sent a mail requesting earlier Interview date. We are yet to get any response. However, Surprisingly the case status on ceac has its status updated date change from 7th April to 8th April.

Could it mean they may have honoured our request and we likely to receive a newer Interview letter?

It did momentarily...it's a combination of anxiety and restlessness.afraid that I might forget something. I promise I will get it together and if I never have to print one more thing and kill another tree it will be perfectly alright with me. Ugh!!!

My wife's interview is on May 5th and I have prepared all of the tax documentation for 2015. I also called the NVC and was told that an updated I-864 is NOT necessary to bring to the interview. Only the most recent tax transcript would be adequate. However, some members on this forum seem to suggest that an updated I-864 is necessary. That's why I'm a bit confused now. I submitted an I-864 for 2012-2014 tax years to the NVC. Is it necessary to complete a new I-864 for tax years 2013-2015?

Please don't go by what NVC says. If you updated your AOS information (filed current year that's an update), then an updated I-864 you need to do. Have with you at interview you can voluntarily hand over or wait until asked If not asked great if asked you have.

Some CO's ask some don't. I have seen more so with those that are close to poverty guidelines or those with joint sponsors. It just depends.

Congratulations. Welcome to the group. I have added you to the spreadsheet.

Did you request an expedite? If not your petition will not be sent to embassy until you have interview assigned.

For my canadian folks....when do you think I should start calling to find out my interview date? Based on the spreadsheet it looks like the average is about one week.

Canada is probably done with May. They been scheduling since the 24th. You ca call NVC and ask is Canada full for May slots for R1/CR1.

I feel the same way. Me bringing my HP color scanner/priter with e to Nigeria was the best thing I could have done. It's been invaluable. Have had to replace ink ummm we are on the 3rd cartridge. But beat having to go to Internet cafe and have some stranger be nosy. Like I am gong to let them print 200 pages of Facebook and whatsapp. ha

And ink is sooo much cheaper here like $10 cheaper. So we are so ready to go.

My husband waits to wait until the final week to go through the binder again so he knows where everything is.

Right now I can see he is in his "lets not talk about the interview mood".

It meas they got your email and updated your file. You should hear shortly. Did you already finish your medical and stated that in email. Cuz that helps.

Hi Dwheels,

I completed medicals 2.5weeks ago. I have not stated this in my mail. However, after the medicals was completed I equally filled in Interview readiness form online which I hope they also have in records.

I think I saw something about ds-260 confirmation page for interview..My p4 letter did not request it..is it a requirement for interview
