Congratulations!! So tell us how it all went! I am starting to freak out a bit lol! Hubby's appointment is tomorrow at 1p and he is driving down to stay with his aunt in Montreal tonight so he is close for the appointment tomorrow! Mostly I just feel happy and have a ton of nervous energy! I am sooo hoping it all goes ok!!

Thanks! It was super easy as others have said. Dropped cell phone off downstairs, went thru security then upstairs The view over Montreal from the 19th floor is stunning. We sat in the middle section and waited about 15 min to be called to window 2. The clerk asked for forms including the updated tax forms. All I brought for taxes was the 2015 info since they already had the 2014 and that was completely acceptable. They took Jason's fingerprints then we sat back down. I went and fumbled with the soda/snack machine for a bit but to no avail. About 25 minutes later Jason got called back for the interview, it lasted about 15 minutes then he came back approved! Once you're done they want you out of there quickly so we left and took some pics on the steps outside for Facebook with huge smiles on our face.. lol then walked down to A&W to grab a soda and try to decompress. All in all a very good experience, no confetti drop or anything when we got approved but just happy it's done. That was on Friday, today, Jason received email notification his passport is ready to be picked up. Super fast turn around time and frequent updates on the CEAC site. Bittersweet that his passport arrived back today as today is also our 3 year wedding anniversary.

Happy to report; APPROVED. Interview went swimmingly and they barely even asked about my Hubbys previous TD visas etc. phew. All in all it was a super easy day! Just got back to our town so finally had the time to write in. Congrats to all others moving forward, and to you flyawayfree; I will write a review later- but if there are any questions before tomorrow please ask!

Congratulations!!!

Y'all please keep us in your thoughts and prayers... Interview in Montreal at 1p est and I am freaking out with nerves!!

It's just gotta go well!!!

It will go great! No worries!!

Thank you! I am so happy for you both, so sweet that you were able to receive his passport on your wedding anniversary! Maybe one day we will do a Canada/Florida couple meet up, I know Cosmos is also another Florida person lol. But if you're gonna leave Canada, might as well be for someplace without snow! I am beyond excited for all of us, and I can't wait for our status to change ughh.

OK YEAH we are finally moving forward. We got the letter from NVC on 3/21 saying everything was a go but no date =(, then on 3/28 I got an email giving us the date of our interview. MAY 6 2016 @ 10AM. OMG I can not believe it, this day actually here!! Well will be here, on May 6th.

So here is my list of what the hell are they talking about questions. Since we have the date we can now schedule the Dr. Exam. Since there is only one in Western Canada I don't have to worry about what Dr. to choose. On his website he lists very clear sections of what you need to bring to the appointment at his office. This is item #4 in the list.

4. P H O T O:

Adults (15 and older) - 4 passport photo . 2 x 2 size, (50mm x 50mm) American standard size. No signatures required.

Children (14 and younger)

This I don't understand. Why does the Dr. need MORE passport photos not to mention 4? So far between out 1-130, all the paperwork to the NVC we have submitted passport photos 3 times. On the list of doc's to bring to the interview it lists passport photos again?

Next question. So far everything says we are paid up with all the fees. So now I have the Dr. Fee's t pay, and it looks like that is going to be close to $300, then the flight to Montreal, is there another fee we have to pay at the interview or after it?? Im just wondering how to know when there are no more fee's

Well thats if for now. Im sure I will have more tomorrow. Thank all of you so so much Suzie

Sorry, but did anyone answer you? I am a bit behind on the thread lol. I would be happy to answer you, I just don't want to reiterate others information (:

hey dewheels got a question. where do I change my address for the green card? is it during the process when I go to the site and pay it? does he do it at POE? I moved last month so everything that my hubby took to the interview has the old address. im not sure if he could of did it at the interview but he said they asked 10 question and said congrats welcome to America and it was over lol. anyways just wondering im not going to pay it until im for sure its coming to our new place but just want to call the right place to get our address corrected. and for the Social Security card is it the same or I was thinking just head to the SS office the next day he gets here and tell them? or can I change that at the same place as well. THANKS! and its over lol 2 years and its over!! thanks for your help!

After a grueling "interrogation" (my husband's description of the interview) The CO officer asked him a final question " how long do you plan to stay with your wife ? " he said the question took him by surprise ..he said he answered with one word "infinity". LOL then her response.. "That was a perfect answer" then she handed him a sheet of paper explaining his rights in America and said "your visa is approved. Will be ready in 10 days" ?????

WOW...perfect response by your husband! Happy it all worked out.

WOOHOO!! Congrats on the approval. :)

Our status changed I think 2 days after interview to "ISSUED". All in all my husbands visa took 6 business days to be issued and to be delivered to his house. We paid the extra $20 for a courier. Won't be long now!

9 Days until we cross the US/Ontario border, so I will definitely let you know how that goes. Bring on the 30 hr drive! haha.

best wishes everyone; hope it is a great month for approvals.

Hey Dwheels76 or anyone filing through Nigeria... How many days does the medical exam take to complete? My husband hasn't done them yet and has been trying to call the medical facility but no answer. He will be traveling to Lagos from Abuja for the interview so trying to determine how many days in advance he should leave to get the medicals done.

I hope they don't only do it in batches on Fridays :/ Ours still just says READY... Maybe I'm just being a little impatient, but I am so ready to be driving home to Florida.
