Hi guys so we had our interview done last week, everything went smooth they took my fiancé passport after the interview. After I had followed up on the consular website the visa process status said Administrative Processing is this normal ? I was hoping to book the tickets the same day I go back to the states after reading this sounds like this will take some times. Any input from those that had gone through this already ?

Thanks,

Azn_101

Depending on which country your fiance is from and/or the country your fiance's interview was at, yes, it can be very normal.

I have read conflicting stories of interviews in Vietnam. It seems to be one of the tougher embassies, so hopefully your presence was beneficial.

Is your ceac status showing "Immigrant" or "Nonimmigrant" at the top?

It would help if we knew where your fiancé is from, and if your fiancé is a he or a she?

Most MENA men are put in AP, but now with the events that occurred in California in December, women and now looked at more closely and I suspect will be put in AP also now.

AOS in the USA.

She's from vietnam, during the interview they only asked her a few questions then they called me up and asked me several questions about my work and my ongoing relationship. After that they told me to have a seat 5 mins later she came out said the officer accept the visa. She filled out a mailing form after worth. Shes on a non immigrant visa.

No, she's not going to make it. It takes a few days to go from AP to Issued, then 1 to 3 days to deliver the Visa by EMS. Your best bet is April 27.

Just a update she received her Visa, and will be on her way soon, so that we can start the next step its lot of work but well worth it.

Thanks for all the help
