I am seeing that people who sent in their applications the same day or after me have already gotten their biometrics date. I have only received my NOA1. Should I be concerned? Their biometrics dates are coming up next week and I have not gotten anything. Should I call? Who do I call? TIA

Have you checked the case status online? It usually will say something about biometrics scheduled etc. in case you think you missed the appointment letter.

Otherwise, it usually depends on your location. Perhaps you live in an area with a long queue of people who need to be fingerprinted and they haven't been able to schedule you yet.

It was my understanding that the case # would be identified on the letter for biometrics. Since I don't have that yet, I don't have a case #. Is that incorrect? Is there another way to look up our case without that number?

There should also be a receipt number on your NOA1. Have you tried checking this on the case status?

It may be that this number won't allow you to see the status of your case and they issue an additional number that would be listed on your biometrics notice. You know, I think that's what it is if I remember correctly. The additional case number on the biometrics notice is what you can use to track the status.

This is what I thought, too. That in order to check your online status you need the biometrics appointment letter. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah, I posted as a reply that I just remembered, that even though they issue a number on the I-797C, the additional case number on the biometrics is what you use to track the case.

Even so, again, it may be that your biometrics center doesn't have any available space to schedule you which is why its taking so long. I would give it another week or two.
