Alternative to medical with panel physicians

I am Canadian. Live in Atlantic Canada. Today I received a request for updated DS-260 which I have finished and new police certificate. Frustrating, but easy to comply.

I have further been asked for another new "Medical from our panel physician." This is where I need to ask for some help. The closest physician is in Montreal, 1,115KM or 11 hours driving from where I live. The examination is also quite expensive. I think you understand how prohibitive, time consuming and costly this would be. My last medical was in perfect order - nothing has changed - I am a very healthy person, and my personal doctor would be happy to certify it. There simply has to be another way than travelling to Montreal again for another piece of paper that says the same thing as last time.

Please understand that I have been waiting a long time to receive my visa. I started my process in 2011. I did my interview, was asked for more documents, finally was able to submit my passport 6 months ago. They seem to open my case file once every 2 months and ask for a fresh set of random documents.

It has to be done by a panel physician.

You have no choice, as they are mandated by law to insure you have a current medical with an approved panel physician, before issuing you a visa.

You have no choice. This happens to anyone who's medical expires before the visa is issued. Just go and get it over with.
