My new green card has an error. Can I still apply?

About a month ago I receive my new 10 year green card with an error at the "Resident Since" date.

I called USCIS and the person I spoke informed me that I have to send my card along with a I-90 form to get it corrected. This wouldn't cost me anything since it is USCIS mistake but the problem is that this will delay my N400 process in about 7/8 months since they are working on forms submitted at the beginning of august 2015.

My question is if I can send my N400 now so I don't have to wait all this time? I would submit at the same time both forms (N400 and I-90).

Any help will be very appreciated.

It's not going to delay your N 400 in anyway. You can still apply for naturalization the moment you're eligible even if you still have a pending I-90 or removal of conditions. Save a copy of your I-90 and send with your N 400 application. Your corrected resident card should even arrive by the time you're in for your interview to take with you.

Than you for the input, Starkilla09?

That is what I was thinking.

Another question is if I should put the "wrong date" at the N400 form, since it is the date that is there.

The date they put there is 10 days earlier than what it should be.

No. Where it asks for your resident since date on the N 400, put the correct one as listed on your initial conditional resident card.

Thanks again. :)

Does anyone knows if I get a receipt number for the I-90?

Should I send I-90 form first and wait for some receipt notice and include with N400?
