i think there are plenty of good men, i believe they all start out that way anyway. i do think american culture is too misogynist for many boys to withstand the pressure into adulthood.

I agree. Peer pressure is brutal. Especially when you see your friends dowing it. Wish there was a way to change this spiralling effect. I feel for future women.

i don't know how much of the pressure is from peers. men are visual creatures, they're more aroused simply by viewing something attractive. in television, movies the misogyny is constant and everywhere..so much so that i barely notice unless i'm looking for examples but the constant onslaught of attractive women and how they're treated as opposed to the 'ugly girl' is pretty much a constant theme in our entertainment sources..and the same way boys pick up their cues on what is socially acceptable treatment of girls, girls have a similar pressure (at least that i've noticed now) coming from movies/television where dad's are pretty much always inept. funny, but stupid as a box o' rocks without mom.

This trope drives me insane. I think of all the able, intelligent, organized and all-around fantastic dads I know and it doesn't match up with their reality. This hoary chestnut needs to die along with "if she's flat-chested, she can't be a 10."

Sad indeed, however, do you have a hard time discussing what's happening in your own country by Americans or should we only be outraged if the attacks are by immigrants?

No, I don't have a hard time.

It is just seems like the level of outrage is not same when the attacks are by immigrants.

The tone here is more towards "we should not be anti-immigrants", "Islamophobia", "racist".. blah blah..

Nope outrage is the same. Just wondering when you're going to show outrage when something happens to your fellow American women.

Am I the only one curious as to why a 15 year old girl was protesting at a Trump rally to begin with? She is not old enough to vote and most likely don't know jack squat about any issues other than someone told her it would be fun to disrupt a political rally. Given the the direction in which these Trump rallies have been headed I wouldn't allow any minors in there to begin with and especially not to be protesting and baiting fired up Trump supporters.

Education is what you get from reading the small print. Experience is what you get from not reading it.

So slap down teen's opinions and standing up for what they believe in at an early age?

If she'd been at the mall and groped then it would be wrong but since she's at a Trump rally it is right?

Well yeah the level of outrage is not the same because the flow of the conversation is completely different.

If it's a person claiming to be Muslims, it's either 1. mass deportation(even though it didn't even happen in THIS country, folks want Muslims removed from the US for something has nothing to do with them) 2. Restriction from entering the US(like they're all a hive mind or something) 3. killing all of them(since folks can't be bothered to tell the difference might as well just wipe them all out.) That's why those comments exist.

But if the killer is just a plain old American, the same folks that are SO concerned about our safety are either unusually quiet, or ensure that the conversation goes back to Islam. Just like now, we're not even talking about Muslims, and yet here we are talking about Muslims in a thread where nothing should be said about them.

It's simple. You can't claim you want to get rid of racism when you hate an entire group of people for their religious choice. That's called prejudice, which is a part of being a racist.

Maybe it's just me, but if a 15 year old girl is groped by an adult man, I have no issue with her responding with violence. And then, to see a weak example of a man pepper spray the girl is simply pathetic.

Allegedly groped by someone. The old guy said he didn't do it.

But anyways.....it is good to see that you agree.......sometimes violence is the answer. I support that position myself. Like when the trump supporter pounded those kkk hood wearing hippies.
