Hi everybody,it's almost a year as I apply for remove consition on my GC and fill I751,GC is expired and letter is almost expired, can I get I551 stamp? What do I need for this? Can I travel with this stamp? Please share your experience, thank you.

You will need to make infopass appointment to get the stamp. I haven't done it myself yet but will be doing it within the next month unless VSC approves my case soon. As far as I know it is equivalent to having a valid green card for one more year. However, I am not sure what else you need when traveling abroad. During the first year, we travel with the expired GC and NOA letter. Once that NOA expires and you get the I551 stamp (I believe we will also surrender the GC at the infopass appointment to get the stamp), I guess we wouldn't need to carry that expired NOA anymore, but I hope someone else who did this before can respond for the benefit of everyone.

Ok thank you very much, hope we hear from VSC in few weeks...but it slow..;(

Unfortunately, the word "slow" is not enough to describe them anymore. I've been hoping to hear from them in a few weeks since last summer. I am a May filer with NOA 5/12. They started processing March cases end of summer, I first thought maybe around October/November I'll hear something back. They couldn't finish March cases by the end of 2015. April cases started in January, then I said, maybe in February I'll hear something. Mid-February people from May started posting approvals, then I said maybe I will hear something within a few weeks, now we are about to enter April and only 50% of the May cases listed on this forum have been approved so far. So, let's see.

Thanks! I will be happy to see "all" of the VSC filers who are waiting more than average CSC filer approved soon.

So ok, your case is not in the limbo anymore at least. They touched your case, didn't find your evidences enough and sent you an RFE. At this point, no one would have a definite answer for you. Each RFE is unique. I've seen saw some RFEs approved within a couple days after responding, but also some people again wait weeks/months for the next update. I hope they won't make you wait too long, there should be a max time USCIS needs to respond to you, not sure but could be 60 days. You should ask that at your infopass appointment and you can do service request after that time if you are still not approved.

I am guessing your naturalization eligibility must be coming up soon (if not already begun). If you are planning to file for naturalization, you do not have to wait for the adjudication of your ROC. Good luck!
