I paid for my USCIS Immigrant Fee through here- https://www.uscis.gov/file-online/log-online-filing

Payment went through just fine. I was able to receive a receipt/ confirmation right away. When checking the status, I got this message:

"Error: The application receipt number entered is invalid. Please check your receipt number and try again."

Turns out you cannot really check the status of the green card production per advice by other VJ members. It usually takes 1- 3 months for the card to be delivered. If however the 2 or 3 month mark has passed then you can call USCIS (?) and ask to speak with a Tier 2 officer.

That's one of the 2 pages I've tried. I just tried again and while it excepts my #'s I still get the message,

"ERROR: We could not find the A-Number and/or DOS Case ID you entered. If your immigrant visa was approved recently, please wait five days before attempting to pay. If the problem continues after five days, please contact the Customer Contact Center for assistance."

I'll just have to contact them.. I knew something was wrong when it wouldn't except the case # MNLxxxxxxxxxx some time ago but thought maybe it would just take time. Then others agreeing to wait for the Visa packet made sense but so far no luck paying for her card.

I care about that but as we're not leaving for a month or so no big deal but what worries me is the #'s being wrong somewhere else also. Like I said I'll just have to contact them..

We received an email from "U.S. DoS - CEAC Confirmation (MNLxxxxxxxxxx)" on Feb 27th, the day after we received the IVMNL approval notice so they have our case # in the system but I've never been able to add the case # to the on-line account myUSCIS I made back then. About a week later we also received an actual letter in the mail from DoS confirming our case...

Now the information that came with her Visa takes us to another page but still won't except the #'s. I feel certain since it's at the same site if it had excepted our MNL case # that a simple click would have taken us to the green card payment site given in the Visa packet but it still wont except the case #/'s.

@7Ken did you receive the receipt for your payment?

Which payment? The $420 to file the I-130 or the $325 for her interview?

Yes we have both..

We also have the DoS conformation # and like 6 more. I've tried all the #'s but the one that seems to be the problem is the MNL #.

It's like they don't account for the fact we filed DCF. Even the Contact us for didn't seem right for us??

https://www.uscis.gov/file-online/log-online-filing will only allow a certain format of #'s & letters, it just won't except mine. No question I'm using the right #'s ( I have ) they just aren't excepted.

I have DoS phone # but it's US so US hours. I will try them tonight.. All I know to do??

Something isn't right.

I know it's not good to compare cases but I made a myUSCIS account Feb 27th and it's never excepted my MNL case #. It should have so I could watch the process of my case, that's the reason for the site and at this point I should have a link to pay for the green card but I've never got past them excepting the case #. I'll just have to call someone..

@7Ken I meant for the USCIS Immigrant fee of $165 (Green card)

Did your payment go through? All I needed to provide was my Alien Registration Number and DoS # which is the MNL**********

https://public-prod-elis2.uscis.dhs.gov/efile/app/app/iv/#!/

Afterwhich just enter your credit/ debit card info and you'll receive a receipt via email.

No, I can't pay for it as they won't except my #'s.. That's my problem..

The link you listed is but one of many "roads" to the same site.

They just don't like my #'s...

"Save Case Check" https://www.uscis.gov/save/save-case-check at USCIS DHS offers several ways to check status. I checked using 3 different #'s and all said the same.. Do not pass go ;)

Maybe it will show up in a week or 3 ?

I've got a headache.. time to go lay down for a while, then search some more or just call the consulate..

2 hours on the phone with DHS / USCIS / DoS..

In the end.. take the 0 off the end of your A # and put it at the beginning, whala problem solved.. Haha really?

The woman started to get snippy at one point and I told her it's not my fault you have all these organizations under one "roof" and each is giving out similar info that will only work in one place. Why not use different formats of #'s if nothing is connected? Just to confuse us! Worse than working with the IRS codes, she apologized and said she could see how it's confusing.

Anyway FINISHED! :D
