Green card payment, IR-1 / DCF Manila

When and where am I supposed to pay for my wife's green card?

We've completed the process and her Visa status is "Issued".

I've searched this topic in many places and can't find an answer for DCF.

I also had my wife ask at her interview but she never received an answer, one woman said on-line.

From the lack of information I've found I'm thinking the fee was included with the I-130, $420 or the $325 paid on her interview day?

Thanks!

Thanks for your reply.

I think the "$165" amount helped confuse me since it was supposed to be the cost of the DS-260 on-line and the site refused to allow me to pay it. Later being told since filing DCF all payments would be made at the consulate.

Maybe the DS-260 was included in the $325 or is still pending?

Regardless thanks for the answer!

:)

I think that this is the link, but double-check. This fee is the same process as for those who don't DCF. I imagine the info will be in her visa packet, which you'll have soon (yea).

This $165 is the green card production, etc fee, while the $325 was the DS-260, etc. fee, and the $420 was the I-130, etc. fee. Everything its own fee ;)

I was hoping we could pay for her card at the consulate and be done with it but obviously that's not happening.

The green card is yet another of many things you can find conflicting info on.

I've read I can pay it later in the states and I've also read that it has to be paid for before POE.

Personally I'd be happy to pay for it right now (and have tried to) but for now have reconciled myself to waiting for the packet and that info being in there.

The link you posted brings up another issue that will hopefully be resolved as soon as my wife's visa packet is delivered!

I found and registered at that site "DOHS" weeks ago but when I try to add our case # to it I get an error message.

It says "The receipt number consists of three letters-for example, EAC, WAC, LIN, SRC, NBC, MSC or IOE-and 10 numbers. You can find it on notices of action USCIS has sent you."

But this seems to not include DCF cases, or at least not ours? I have the case # MNLxxxxxxxxxx but as I said it wont except it.

I'm hoping it's just a matter of processing time and it will update soon, but not so far.

For now I can check at "cgifederal" and get the message, "Your passport is still with the US Embassy/Consulate".

or

CEAC where it says "ISSUED"

A woman my wife befriended the day of her interview received her passport with visa this morning which started all this with my wife today. I gave her a glass of wine this afternoon which has cured all for the time being..:D

It's only been like 6 weeks since we filed the I-130 and she's stressed. Hell I'm still waiting for my 13a here 14 months later! :ranting:

Thanks!

A glass of wine fixes many troubles!

My understanding that the ELIS fee can be paid either before or after entry, but the green card isn't produced until the fee is paid. Not sure how to turn your MNL# into a number that they like, sorry. There might a recent post on the topic, or perhaps the packet will come today with the answer.

I think it will be next week before the packet is delivered and I'll find a way to pay for her card after it arrives.

It's status did change this morning so that's encouraging.

"Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery"

I'm still amazed at how much miss-information there is on the web.

Search one thing and get 5 different answers.

Cheers :pop:

I felt bad that I couldn't give a more solid answer, so I did a bit more poking and found this link on the USCIS site that looks like it might have the info you're after.

That's very kind of you, after reading on that page it confirms the numbers I need will be in the Visa packet.

I had checked the 2GO (shippers) page this morning and it said "in transit". 9am 3/31

Now I just checked it again and it says "accepted shipment from customer". 4pm 3/31

I find this amusing as it seems backwards but this is the Philippines !

Thankfully the status still says "in transit" so we'll just give it some time.

Thanks again!

No, not yet but it's become obvious it's back in the hands of Phils.

The tracking below makes no sense to me. So I just laugh and watch.

I checked this morning and found It started out with the 9am in transit and I thought cool it's on it's way.

Next I checked about 5 this afternoon and found the 4pm saying it's been accepted shipment from customer.

I thought humm that seems backwards.

I tried calling and after being on hold for 15 minutes with stupid recordings I hung up.

Now I check it and they've added the 3:18 pm in transit..

It would possibly make since if the "4pm" was actually the 30th?

Who knows lol, it's somewhere, and may be here someday?

3/31/2016 9:00:11 AM IN-TRANSIT

3/31/2016 3:18:38 PM IN-TRANSIT

3/31/2016 4:00:12 PM ACCEPTED SHIPMENT FROM CUSTOMER

I posted the graph from 2GO but it didn't show up right so I had to edit it.
