I recently had my interview in Amman, and was put on ap. During the interview, I tried to tell the consulate that the courts made a mistake on my wife's name on our marriage certificate.... but the consulate just kept asking me different questions. We noticed the mistake after I had submitted originals the week before. ...my question is, if we email the consulate now and ask them/try to inform them again of the mistake, will that help our case...or make me stay in ap longer? If we don't do anything, will that hurt my case?

i have paper from the court says name correction and they did fixed it ! and with translate and Certified from the court !

( Court mistake ) .

need your advice about that if we emailed them and tell them that will that affect on my case or make it longer waiting ap?

thank you .

Did the Co told you the reason of the AP? I had the same prob with my marriage certificate but it was my middle name. I made the correction myself since it was one letter miss spelled from my middle name. Husband is on AP because Co said they need to do some back ground check on him but check will be done in the U.S. Guess its FBI check.

You have been here many times asking how to get out of AP. Once AGAIN they are doing security checks, no one can tell you how long it will take, NO ONE. The checks are done when they are done, no one knows exactly who, what where and when they check. Continuing to bother them will do nothing. On the US embassy site in Amman it SPECIFICALLY says do not contact them to check on the status of your AP until you have been in AP for at least 5 months, to check the CEAC site as often as you want but they will not contact you unless AP is finished before those 5 moths are up.http://jordan.usembassy.gov/iv_frequently_asked_questions.html

I was never in AP. I am an organizer on VJ and just moved your thread to the appropriate forum.
