Ceac status

I had my interview today and was approved!! We are very very happy and can't wait to actually get married. My question is my ceac status had bee updated today but still days 'ready' and that my application is reasy for interview. I'm assuming this is normal and it shold update in a day or 2?

Possible, it took my wife 3 weeks before she got her visa after the interview (Dominican Republic)

I had my interview recently and my visa was printed the day after the interview so for me it just went straight to Issued from Ready, but I've read that for some people it first goes to AP, that especially seems to be the case if the visa takes more time to get printed (i.e., when it's not printed in the next day or two).

I wish they would explain it at the interview, it would save alot of worry. I was worried because it says ready but still has the same message about being interview ready. It hasn't changed at all, except it was updated today. I'm hoping it will change in a day or 2. I can't wait though, it's been a long process I'm so ready to go and marry my fiance lol.

Yup, same here -- when I checked after the interview and before it became Issued the date was updated, but the message was the same, so I really wouldn't worry about it just yet

In London it has the same "ready" message from the time the case arrives there. The dates change from time to time. In a few days it will change to AP. That status is anywhere from a few hours to a few days. The "immigrant" designation will also switch to Nonimmigrant is another clue you are getting close. Issued means it's printed and you are officially approved. Maybe two days later you get an email with a courier tracking number. It could be delivered the next day unless you are in a very remote area. Here's some London Interview to visa in hand data. So today my status changed from immigrant ready to non immigrant ready with a case creation date of today. It says to check back in 2 working days. I'm assuming that means I should either see AP tomorrow or even issued?

Yep. I forget which appears first AP or Non-immigrant. And sometimes they just don't update properly. But hey, it's a step closer today.

Also so a seperated topic does anyone know if I have to declare my 1 suitcase which will only be filled with my clothes and jewelry. How do I fill out the customs form?

Only declare anything brand new like those sunglasses you bought at duty free in the airport. Or the bag of 800 teabags you are bringing to hold you over. Your "household goods" are not itemized or valued because they are duty free to immigrants...unlimited value. New things, you get $100 worth free. Technically "household goods" are things you have owned at least one year, but they would 't get in a debate over if a pair of shoes only appears 3 months old if they chose to search your luggage.
