Dear all,

I am currently awaiting further comments regarding with ROC as I have not heard anything since filing/sending my package during November 2015.

However, I did receive my I-797 and I have successfully completed my bio metric requirements.

Now, I recently traveled abroad (10 days) and upon my return to the states, the IO (passport control) mentioned that although the Notice of Action extends my conditional status for a year (work and travel), I should avoid traveling overseas until a receive my 10 year green card.

Is this information correct?

Any advice would be truly appreciated.

ROC - since you are left coast, your case might reach the finish line sooner. For folks applying at Vermont - it takes anywhere between 6-12-months and in some case more than that. So be patient.

I-797: as you stated it extends your status for an year and allows you to travel. However, not all the airlines and immigration officials are educated to the same degree. I have faced problems on certain occasions while some instance they looked at the paper and understood what it means.

Good Luck!
