Received my oath letter about a week ago... the oath is scheduled for 12/21. Less than a month after the interview. I suppose that's normal for the rest of the country, but I think in NYC it's rather quick!

Also, I bolded all the red text non-bolds below. Was there a reason they were not bolded? Cuz I couldn't find a reason and seeing how it looked rather ugly, I went ahead and did it.

Received my oath letter about a week ago... the oath is scheduled for 12/21. Less than a month after the interview. I suppose that's normal for the rest of the country, but I think in NYC it's rather quick!

tsekub, you are lucky you got your oath letter so quick.

My interview was on Nov 21st.

Literally 5 minutes after the interview (while I was still inside the building) I received text messages (4 messages within 1 minute :rolleyes: ),

saying my case status has been updated. Later that day I logged into my USCIS account and there was indeed an update stating on

Nov 20th my application N400 was approved and an Oath Ceremony letter was mailed to me.

Its been 3 weeks since the update and still no oath ceremony letter. Yesterday I logged into the other USCIS account (the one connected

to the new ELIS system) and there I saw a message stating an oath ceremony date was scheduled and they are going to mail a letter to me???

I don't know which info is correct. Did they mail the letter and it got lost, or are they going to mail it to me on a later date????

Also, it seems ridiculous to me that they put the N400 approval date a day before the interview actually took a place. And one web site says it was

approved on Nov 20th and an oath letter was mailed, while the other web site says application was approved on Nov 21 and they are going to mail

the oath letter. Everything is so confusing.

My wife has her interview coming up this Thursday, Dec 15th 2016

My wife passed the Interview today in Long Island, NY and when we got home case has been updated as OATH ceremony letter has been mailed

Winn55, that's a shame and stressful as all hell. Did you try contacting USCIS? I know that when I got the alert the USCIS case track website did say something like "if you haven't received the letter regarding your oath ceremony by December 28th [or thereabouts] contact USCIS"

Of course now I am logging into the case tracker and that notice is gone... hmmm...

Edit: Nevermind I found the notice and it did say that. :oops:
