Our interview was on the August 16th. Our online status changed on August 18th stating that our oath letter was mailed. Then we received the letter in the mail today, Aug. 22nd, that stated he is scheduled for his oath ceremony on Sept. 1st. Congratulations to you !!

As stated before, I had my interview last week Monday, August 15th. I got a notification that I'm in line for the oath ceremony to be scheduled on the 17th. Never received any other online update.

Last night, I had the oath letter in my mailbox. It was issued on the 19th.

I'll have my ceremony at the DoL in DC on September 13th. I'm excited! The final step!

Hello VJ members. my mom applied for her citizenship in april this year she hav"nt heart anything after her biometrics. i saw lot of other vj member with same month already have there interview . we call uscis for any apdate on her case but they always told as to wait for another month. we dont know why it is taking that long? is sombody also waiting for there interview form atlanta services center who applied in april ?"

What type of receipt number did you have for your application? Were the first letters NBC or IOE? There seems to be some delay for the IOE folks at the moment although now there seems to be some movement.

Atlanta field office is a little swamped at the moment it seems. We went there on Aug 11 for his interview and we waited 1 hr and 1/2 after his appt time for the interview. I don't recommend going any earlier than 30min unless you just want to wait longer.

Just hang in there....things are moving.

I am waiting for my interview as well and I am on a NBC receipt number. Last update on my application was on the 9th of June. Hopefully we see some movement soon.

Guys, you can always go to https://egov.uscis.gov/e-Request and file an inquiry if you think your case is being stretched beyond normal processing time. My status was updated to "in line for oath ceremony" on 14th July and I never heard anything back after that, even when there was a ceremony scheduled on 29th July. I know this because of another VJ member, Heidi, who is from same local office as mine. Our timeline is almost similar with just few days difference. So, I waited for little over a month and then filed an inquiry on 18th Aug. To my surprise, they updated my status on 22nd Aug to "scheduled for the oath ceremony". They mailed me the letter with all details the same day. However, when I initiated the inquiry, they did say that I should expect their reply by 8th Sep but it was a lot quicker than I anticipated. Now, I'm not sure if it was just a coincidence or they really needed a nudge to take some action in my case. Oh well, it went my way and that's what I was hoping for. So I would definitely recommend using this tool. There's no harm in trying. I think it's the better option than calling them. Just my opinion. Best of luck

I tried to submit a "case outside processing times" inquiry through the link you provided, but every time I try to submit my information I get an "error message" Anyone else getting this? ... really frustrating I haven't heard back since I took by biometrics on May 19th, my case status still shows "Biometrics appointment scheduled" no update since April 29th.

I called and they told me to wait another 4 months, that's insane, I really wanted my citizenship before elections.

Yes I did, it says I'm scheduled for an interview.

I was worried too but I was told that USCIS is behind.. so patience my friend.

Yup same here, I tried to file an eticket and it gives me error message, I tried CHrome and IE. I can try a different computer later I guess. ANd I called for which I was told "please call back after October"

Attention!!! My interview was scheduled!

I used the new form and have a IOE# did biometrics on may 6th.

Rest your worries looks like they are finally doing IOE applications.

Will return with interview date when recieved.
