Good luck to you!

Thanks

I agree with you. My application was received and processed for biometrics almost the same or close to others but when it moved to my local office, everything moved very quickly. I have almost the same timeline as those 3 people I've read here who were processed in Memphis last year and early this year. I'll be taking oath by the end of this month.

Maybe because my local office isn't as busy as others. Also I'm already eligible to apply in 2014 thri 3yr marriage rule but waited till this April. That's only my guess.

319(b) here also, but not military based. I was actually hoping Honolulu would have taken a little more time. :)

That's what I thought too. Their office was almost empty when I went for biometrics and half full when I did my interview. They are not as busy as those cities you mentioned.

Yes, that search function is helpful and reminds me that I should update my timeline. Lol

Hi guys, I did my bio matric on 5/17 haven't heard anything since then. I applied under three years rule. Anyone in the same boat?

We are on the exact same boat. Nothing since May 17 :(

Hoping for any good news soon.

The investigations are taking a little longer than normal it seems. We send on April 12 and since we included fingerprint cards we heard nothing until the other day when we saw online that Daisy was scheduled for her interview. Things will move and it should be soon for everyone. :D

I received my interview letter on Friday!! I honestly didn't expect it to move so quickly. I need to go learn some civics!

I have the joy of the 7:30am interview. I certainly hope that my interviewer is a morning person and in a good mood! :)

So my interview was 2 weeks ago, and today I just got a notification says they placed me in line dor my oat ceremony and will send me a notice with date, time and location of my oath ceremony. I was told to wait 4 weeks to hear anything back from USCIS after my interview and I'm so glad it took only 2 weeks. Eventhough the interview went well and I passed the civic questions, I was worried because the IO cheked the box on form N652 that says " a decision cannot yet be made about your application". What a relief I'm so happy!!!

For those of you guys who already got your interview appointment scheduled, I know you really want to study hard and pass the test, but one you should remember, please bring all the latest of your bank statement that has your spouse and your name on it, the latest utility bill with your name and your spouse name, lease etc because I was asked for all of them. The IO even asked for my birth certificate that already translated in English. And I didn't have it with me that time. The IO had to look through all my files like 5 inch thick lol and she found it. Phew! Apparently she had all my files since I was applied for K1 visa. Good luck to all of you guys and I will update again once the oath ceremony notice in my hand!

I did my interview over the weekend.

Arrived at the field office 15 min early, as per the interview letter, it recommends not to arrive earlier than 30 min. Unfortunately, many people were inline before me. I asked a couple of them and they have the same appointment time with me. I have to leave the appointment letter with the reception and wait for her to confirm my appointment on her computer. It took her 20 min. I strongly recommend arriving at least 30 min earlier. By 9:05 my appointment is confirmed and told to wait for the call from the IO. Around 10:05 I was called in, went inside the office, he said "please remain standing, I need to place you under the oath", raise the right hand and did the oath. If any of you watched the USCIS naturalization Interview and test video on you tube, the experience is exactly the same as it is depicted in that video. Please go and watch, it will help you on what to expect.

The first part of the interview involves going through the N-400 form, like confirming residence address, verifying ID/Passport, reviewing the yes/no questions on the form, and signing the form as well as the photos. On my original form I provided only IRS transcript and copy of marriage certificate as a supporting evidence, so he asked me if I have any lease or any additional proof. I provided the lease first page copy. All the files starting from the first application is on file so he just went through them all. He didn't ask a copy of the kids birth certificate, but asked some information about them just verbally. Also asked about my last travel outside the US ( which was only to Canada).

The second part is the civics, reading and writing test. The questions were:

  • Who wrote the declaration of Independence?
  • Who is in charge of the executive branch?
  • What is the political party of the president now?
  • What are the two major political parties in the US?
  • Name one state that borders Mexico?
  • There were 13 original colonies. Name three?

I answered all six so we stopped here and continued the reading, which says "Who elects Congress", then I was told to write "The people elect Congress"

That's it, passed the test of English and U.S. history, he printed the form N-652 Interview results, the application has been recommended for approval and to wait for an oath letter in the mail. Asked if I have any questions and escorted me out.

The whole process took a little less than 15 min and I was on my way to the beer store to consume lots of liquids on the hottest day in Denver history - it was 100 degree F.

Good Luck to you all.
