I'm getting a bit anxious... It's been a month after my biometrics and still haven't heard anything from them. Anyone feeling the same? I filed mine at Lewisville, Texas and my USCIS office is in Jacksonville, FL.

Feeling the same.

Applied under 5years+ rule. Actually got my RoC close to ten years ago. Had my biometrics on 5/9. Washington office. No changes in status as of yet.

I sure wonder what's taking so long. I'm working in an environment were I am already vetted by FBI background check. Been married for the entire time to the same guy, same job, same adress, not even a speeding ticket. Getting anxious too.

Did you apply 90 days early?

If so, you're not going to be placed inline for an interview more than 1 month before your green card anniversary.

If not, then your background check has not been completed; this can take several months.

No, Ive been married for 6 years. I got my 10 yr greencard 2013 through my husband, so I'm not filing early days of some sort.

Perhaps the background check has not been completed, looks like I'm not the only one though. I'm just a bit anxious as I see other people timelines and normally get an inline after a week or 2 weeks of doing biometrics (Sometimes after a few days!)

I will just wait I guess.

Also note that USCIS requests an FBI background check, but also carries out a name check through multiple databases.

So passing other background checks quickly isn't an indication of how long this process will take.

I did my biometrics the same day you did.

I feel the same. I did my prints on 18th of May and no update. I am fingerprinted and background checks done every couple of years on me due to being a Foster parent. Forget a ticket, I dont even have a traffic warning. So I guess it is just delayed in some cases. My local office is Phoenix, and it seems they are slow this year. I wonder if some states (namely CA, AZ, TX, FL) have lot of applicants due to the general election.

I'm waiting to get out of line! It looked like it would be less than a month to get an interview date, but I'm still waiting!

Realistically, as long as it happens before my trip planned for December I don't need to worry. Still, I'd like to see movement. So impatient!

On J visas.  Spouse won DV lottery while in US.  Did AOS from the US.

Boston field office, GC holder for 10 years.

Citizenship received in 2016, took ~5 months from application to passport.

Spouse received citizenship in 2019

Same here. Been married to the same person since 2003. Permanent Resident since 2004. Zero issues with the law. Got my biometrics on May 18 and so far there has been no change on my status. I think I will start to get worried if I don't hear anything in another week.

Guys, I can't tell you not to worry, but I can tell you to please look at the timelines for previous months. There is nothing at all unusual about waiting 2 or 3 months after biometrics without hearing anything. There are a handful of such cases every single month. I hope this helps calm your nerves a little. Needless to say, if contacting USCIS makes you feel better, by all means do so, but at this stage there's nothing to worry about.

Just to expand on what JimmyHou has talked about. I feel we all need to relax a little. I completely understand wanting this to be done fast, but this is the government. Sometimes fast and efficient but not typically. If we all remember back to the K1/IR1 process, it was 6-12 months for most of us. Going back through the timelines, it is exceedingly rare for them to take that long.

Just as a note: Daisy and I will be on a short notice to fly from Korea to Hawaii for 3 of us for her interview. Most of you have a fairly local office to deal with and just need to take 1-3 days off of work for the process. For us, this will be at least $7000.00 and a last minute notice at a critical time in my project timeline to go for her interview.

All I am saying is don't let frustration take over and just enjoy your preparation for your interview and the summer that we have upon us. Life is good.

Personally, I'm not worried. Just anxious as I am generally an impatient person lol. Knowing that my field office is lagging behind just adds to the impatience for finally seeing a change in status. I know, I won't be done until another three or four months after being placed in line.

Waiting has its advantages too. Maybe I'll be lucky enough for family to join the ceremony as they are scheduled to visit from September to November.

Also, I think I got spoiled by my greencard processing times. I was all done within three months.

I married my husband and after our honeymoon, I came back to the U.S. and didn't see him for another year and a half. The CR-1 process was nothing short of excrutiating, but we are blessed now to be together and have all that behind us. Compared to that, this is cake!

I agree with you TonyandDaisy Life is good!! :luv:
