I guess I'm an April filer now. I originally sent my return on March 29th and it was received on April 1st. Never got a response or notification. I got the check back in the mail on April 11th. No explanation as to why it was sent back. It was filled out correctly. I'm assuming it was sent back because it had only my husband's name was on the check. I called them and the only thing they could tell me was to resend the package. So I mailed it on April 13th and it was picked up on April 16th. Hopefully all goes well with this one. Used a money order with this one.

That would be an odd reason to send it back. I hope they don't send my wife's back for that. I never ordered checks with her name on it. If they do we will just pay by CC. LOL

Not sure if that was why but I did post my situation in the March 2016 and someone said their check (I think it was AOS) was sent back because both the husband and wife's name wasn't on the check. It could be something else but even when I called they too found it odd as to why no letter or note was sent back with the check stating what was wrong with it. They didn't even send back the original package. Good thing the only thing I had to do was take more photos and pay more postage. But it is what it is as long as it doesn't happen a second time.

Daisy's AOS didn't have her name on the check either and that went through with no problem. Crossing my fingers. LOL Our check should clear in the next couple of days (hopefully). :D

Hi all! I mailed my N-400 application yesterday evening via FedEx, to the Texas courier address. It should be arriving tomorrow evening (Wednesday) by 4:30. I'll update the tracker tonight. Excited and wishing all the best for all April filers!!!

Early filling date: 4/26/2016

I have already prepared all the documents and I am going to mail the package on 4/26.

However, I have to go to Germany for a short visit-on 5/30.

Hope I can receive the biometrics notice by 5/30. :clock:

Finally got the text! Case received.

I-129F filed May 1996
K-1 issued August 1996
Married in September 1996.
AOS October 1996
LPR April 1997 to 2003.
Forced to abandon status at POE in DC, 2003.
Lived & worked in Asia together 2000 to 2011.
We have 2 gorgeous kids!
Returned to USA Oct 2011, on B1 tourist visa
Filed i-130 and i-485 in April 2012.

LPR approved 10/22/2012 (Conditional 2 year period waived)

Fast forward 4 years to 2016.... it's that time!

Day 0: April 13, 2016 Sent N-400 at 12:20pm :dancing:

Day 1: April 14, 2016 Delivered to USCIS Lewisville, TX 11:38am

Day 6: April 19, 2016 Text acceptance 3:48pm ; Check Cashed

Day 10: April 23, 2016 NOA received

Day 16: April 29, 2016 NOA - Biometrics appointment scheduled

Day 28: May 11, 2016 Biometrics appointment at Orlando

Day 120 : August 11, 2016 7.30am Naturalization Interview - Approved! :thumbs:
