I couldn't figured out how to put this in the Hong Kong page, so I figured I would start here. So I the I129 is approved, we been approved and assigned a case number at NVC. I check the status of the Visa Application on CEAC.STATE.GOV, and it only says ready. Can someone tell me what the heck is supposed to happen next? I know she is awaiting on Packet 3, which we haven't received as of yet. The Application was approved back on the 18th of March. So 10 days ago. Just hoping to get some answers and maybe some insight. Thanks

My K-1 Timeline:

01/04/2016: Sent I129f to NSC
01/06/2016: NOA1 (from WAC)
02/23/2016: NOA2 (Via Text and Emails at 11pm)
02/27/2016: Paper NOA2 in the mail

03/10/2016 Package arrived at NVC

03/14/2016 Case# and INV ID# received

03/15/2016 Case left NVC

03/18/2016 Case Arrived at Consulate

03/19/2016 Letter from NVC stating Case has been sent to Hong Kong

04/01/2016 Packet 3 arrived

04/05/2016 Packet 3 sent

04/26/2016 Packet 4 sent

04/29/2016 Packet 4 received

05/05/2016 Medical Exam

05/17/2016 Interview date (Approved)

05/25/2016 Visa received

06/21/2016 Flying to the USA!!!!!!!!!!!

Thread is moved from the Embassy/Consulate forum to the China regional forum, where Hong Kong is discussed.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Ready means the package is at the consulate. See if you can email them and get package 3.

Okay so Packet 3 is in route, was mailed out on the 29th of March. From what been told with Hong Kong, to ensure you get the police checks done ASAP, because they take time to get to the consulate. Seem that they move very fast with Packet 3 and Packet 4, and before you know it you have an interview, but your Medical and Police Checks haven't come back yet So you still have to wait. So we shall see what happens with us. Thank You for everyone input.

Once you receive packet 3 apply right away for police clearance and get cenomar online..its takes time cenomar is two weeks if that ia fast delivery even you send back the readiness right away they cant send you the packet 4 or give you schedule for interview..

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
