All banks say a SSN is a mandatory requirement but they fail to mention an ITIN can be used as a substitute for an SSN... Ideally they wants US driver license and US passport but ANY government issued ID can be used some people are just more ####### and insist you must be a citizen but this is not true... Try a different location or another bank you are untitled to a bank account... I have 2 bank account 1 I opened before I had me ITIN and I was able to be put on my husbands account using a foreign passport and foreign driver license... Second bank account I open at a credit union my husband has a RV loan threw they kept saying SSN only after talking to my CPA and presenting the bank with information online that states as long you have a valid government issued ID and a ITIN or 2 government issued form of ID you can open an account and that a SSN isn't required... Once I put on the spot they opened me an account there system magically allowed me to open an account there... ITIN are for financial proposes only there used to open financial account and file taxes if you can't get a SSN that includes file taxes, open banking accounts, take out loan and credit cards... By them saying you must has a SSN is bullshit when by law a ITIN can be used in the SSN field on any financial document

No, nothing you can do. My application was going along nicely before the RFE but now it's back to a waiting game. I expected delays after getting the RFE and it's true it does set you back.

I can contact them in June sometime to get an update which I think I will need to do just to nudge along my cases.

Oh well enjoy the holiday peeps

Usually requires a phone call to USCIS requesting an expedited EAD/AP. They will then ask for the reason, usually a response saying you will face financial hardship or loss due to losing a job opportunity works.

You are then asked to fax in the evidence of a job offer for instance. Then might be about a week if they agree to it.

I've heard some people have also involved their congressman during this process.

Of course you might want it for the AP in which case the evidence would be for a humanitarian reason such as sick relative, fax through medical evidence and they should review the application and give a decision quickly.

Here's someone who's done it and explains it better than I did.

That doesn't sound too great for you Mos.

Well the alternative is to get a letter headed paper from the family doctor of the patient outlining the illness. Doesn't have to be from a hospital. Even if it's scanned to you it means you can print it out straight away ready to fax off to USCIS.

Same process route applies to expedite the card just alternative forms of evidence. I do hope they consider your case swiftly so you can return to the UK.

Congratulations!! :) No your interview won't be waived however you're bypassing the EAD / AP and going straight for the GC - can't get better than that :)

I know :( I'm sorry... The same here. I can't even stress over it anymore. There's nothing we can do, I guess.

I really wish there was - this RFE definitely set me back. According to VJ estimates I "should" have had my EAD and AP approved last week

If you look at processing times of MSC office for EAD it says if you have haven't heard anything by day 75 to call and enquire and they will submit a review on it to see where it's at... It goes into say that RFEs and some other things can affect your applications and put you outside normal processing times... I would definitely call cause aren't you not past 75say mark already?
