Did anyone else have their case status update changed to "case ready for interview" date put back before the time that the application was sent? I mailed the applications at the end of March but the case status indicates the case has been ready a few weeks before that. Is that normal? Not concerned, hoping it helps cut down timeframes. More just curious what others have seen on this.

How do I know when my I 94 is going to be expired??

Also I have unexpired passport & can I go tomorrow to the SSN office ???

Do I need any other thing beside passport ??

It's the date beside where it says "duration of status" I think... My I-94 was paper form before it went electronic so that's why I'm not 100% sure where the expiration date is... For other documents just go to SSN website it tell you exactly what you need

Ours was received by USCIS 18th May and no updates here either, don't know if it's still in a pile somewhere or if the websites recent updating problems are to blame :(

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

I don't know. Maybe they're just slow with everything. There's just part of me that thinks that it hasn't been delivered, so they don't even have it. I hope that's not the case.

You don't get another notice (you do get a text and email though). My online status did change to them saying its received and they are working on it.

That was a while back too. Seem to be stuck now in EAD & interview scheduling.

The wait goes on....

Gpiper did you get the card yet though. Seems to be over 16 days for you after approval.

Do you remember what code was on your original biometrics??? Maybe they done the wrong code the 1st time round... Each code equals certain amount of finger prints... I've read that some people get out in for code 1 or 2 when they need a 3 so they need to go back for a second biometrics to get the correct amount of finger prints due to Uscis error on the code... Code 1 I think it just your index finger code 2 is something else and code3 means its both code 1 and 2 your getting done

Gpiper did you get the card yet though. Seems to be over 16 days for you after approval.

No indication of a card coming, the status hasn't changed to produced card or mailed card either.

I have since then received an email though saying there is a post activity decision being made on my EAD. No idea what that means. I asked on VJ via a separate thread.

I don't think it's anything sinister but I reckon I will be waiting quite a while

wonder if it's in relation to your RFE since supposedly the clock restarts on the EAD/AP but I don't know why It would effect it they can't exactly approve it then unapproved it to restart the clock on you, or can they? They can be rather sneaky... Perhaps there looking into the reason why you got an RFE Edited by Moslund

I don't know how the system works really but you might be right as it does say they are going back to MSC so possibly to verify the RFE. however I thought it was MSC that approve the EAD anyway so why approve and then check? I thought the system would flag that to them as they work my case.

I can see the conversation going something like this....

John: Hey Fred...

Fred: Yes John....

John: I have this clown wanting an EAD/AP card to be approved

Fred: is that one from the pile we threw in the trash can last week?

John: no this one we allowed through..... because it was a Monday

Fred: oh right... Well in any case I think you can delay it a few weeks more what do you think

John: yeh why not.. But before I send a tantalising email telling him he's ever so close... Can u tell me if his RFE is ok?

Fred: how would I know

John: well it's gonna be in that file

Fred: which file?

John: that one.... Right under your nose

Fred: good job you are observant.... I'll get to it..... Next Friday

John: no rush

Fred: lunch?

John: yeh why not.. We deserve a break... I've been in the office nearly an hour anyway...

I await my Oscar nomination for best original screenplay next year.... I thank you [takes a bow]
