My case status just updated to " case is ready to be scheduled for an Interview " yay

april 1st: sent i-485 to chicago lockbox

april 4th: i-485 delivered to chicago lockbox

april 7th: "biometrics fee received and accepted"

april 10th: email notification of acceptance and routing to NBC for processing

april 11th: hardcopy i-797C in mail (notice date april 8th)

april 30th: received biometrics letter for: may 11th @ 9am

june 2nd: received interview letter for: july 6th @ 11.10am

july 6th: Interview day---no decision was made

july 13th: sent e-mail to congressman, asking for an inquiry on my case.

Just received my Green Card today We didn't get called into an interview! My card is valid for 10 year though.... That has to be a mistake, right?

Well, my case updated some time over the weekend, and fingerprint fee was received April 27. Still no biometrics letter..hopefully that comes this week, as Wednesday will be 30 days since case was received. I'll definitely be calling USCIS this Thursday and trying to figure out what is going on. Seems like there's a lot going wonky with April filers this year :clock:

from what i read and experienced myself, they may tell you that they will take actions only if there have been 30 days since the last action from their side be that an email-text, mail or cashed checks or update on the case status

But it's definetelly worth trying calling them and requiring about your case

and you'd better call early in the morning, cause then you'll talk to the representative immidiatelly, but if you call even 30 minutes later, it's going to be a 25 min wait

Notify USCIS if you are concerned you haven't received something important from us, such as:

  • You mailed your application or petition more than 30 days ago to a Service Center or to our National Benefit Center, and have not yet received a receipt in the mail
  • You did not get any other kind of notice and you have a receipt number but "My Case Status" states that we sent you a notice (other than the receipt notice) more than 14 days ago

5/6/2016 - delivered and signed up for by R Mercado [Day 1] 7/20/2016 - called to submit a service request for my EAD. [Day 76]
5/12/2016 - checks cashed [Day 7] 7/28/2016 - case numbers for i-130 and i-765 started working to say case was received on May 6 [Day 84]

5/16/2016 - got 3 NOAs in the mail, dated May 12, priority date is 7/29/2016 - case status of I-765 is "New Card Is Being Produced", later in the evening - "Case Was Approved" [Day 85]

May 6 (haven't received any emails or texts) [Day 11] 8/1/2016 - received answer for the service request "your case is under review" [Day 89]

6/10/2016 - got biometrics letter in the mail, notice date is June 4, 2016, which 8/1/2016 - received answer for the service request "your case is under review" [Day 89]

is day 30 from when they picked up the package [Day 36] 8/2/2016 - case status of I-765 is "The Card was Mailed to you" [Day 90]

6/21/2016 - Biometrics walk-in in Philadelphia [Day 47] 8/4/2016 - received I-797 Notice of Action for approved I-765 [Day 92]

6/22/2016 - Scheduled Biometrics Appointment [Day 48] 8/5/2016 - EAD in mail [Day 93]

6/30/2016 - online case status started working "case is ready to be scheduled

for the interview" [Day 56]

8/9/2016 - Interview is Scheduled [Day 97]

Thank you, i am surprised as well. Have had my biometrics done on the 11th. Didnt excpect that so quick.

They won't entertain you until it's 30days from when you recieved the hard copies in the mail even tho he website states 30days from case received... I called at day 36 and argued with them not once but twice about how the website says different and they refused to look into it even with a transfer to tier 2... I ended up getting my letter on day 40 from filing but was day 22 from recieving the hard copies

Finally got my NOA today. It took over a month.

I see some of you got 3 NOAs, I only got one but it looks like it includes I-485 and I-765. The Biometrics appointment is also on the notice, i didn't receive a separate letter.

Do i need to call to find out about the I-130?

Also the biometrics appointment is 2 days before our wedding!!!! This is not convenient at all, but we would rather go than risk being delayed even further. The fact that we have to travel 2 hours to the nearest centre doesn't help either.

Well you should try getting and early walk in just go there early in the morning and they probably would let you take your appointment earlier than the designated date....will help you from running around in the last couple of days....80% people get through an early walk in..

25th March'2016- Sent out the application via UPS to Chicago.

29th March'2016- Package received. (day1)

4th April'2016- Received 4 Text SMSs and 4 E-mails from the USCIS notifying my case has been received and routed to National Benefits Center for Processing. (day 6)

5th April'2016- Checks have been cashed. (day 7)

7th April'2016- NOA received in mail . (day 9)

2nd May'2016- Received Biometric Appointment Letter(day 33)

5th May'2016- Walked In 8;30am for early Biometric Appointment( In and out in 12 minutes)(day 36)

12th May'2016- Biometric Appointment Schedule

24th May'2016- Received RFE for Form I864( Tax Returns, Pay Stubs)(day 55)

26th May'2016- Sent out the evidence for RFE (day 57)

1st June'2016- Received notification that the RFE package was received. Case status website updated (day 56)

2nd June'2016- Put in a request for Change in Address for all the 4 applications. Received Confirmation mail the same day(day 57)

6th June'2016- Address change request was completed.(day 61)

11th June'2016- Letter of Address change confirmation was received. (day 66)

23rd June'2016- Called USCIS asked to spoke a Tier 2 officer was called back on the third attempt after 8 hours and spoke about confirmation of address change. (day 78)

24th June'2016- Status change for EAD only "New Card is being produced" (day 79)

29th June'2016- Card was mailed to me at the mentioned date(day 84)

2nd July'2016- Card received in mail (day 87)

9th August'2016- Interview scheduled for September 13th(day 125)

16th August'2016- Interview cancelled.(day 132)

13th September'2016- Attended the interview and was told my file wasn't available at the local office. (Day 163 )

29th October'2016- Rescheduled the interview for December 1st. (Day 209)

1st December'2016- Judgement Day RELOADED!(Day241)

2nd December'2016- New card is being produced!(Day 242)

6th December'2016- STATUS CHANGED TO NEW CARD HAS BEEN MAILED. (Day 246)

8th December'2016- Received USPS tracking code to track my GC. Scheduled for delivery on 14th December'16.

I sent by Express mail :) And I know because I paid extra for signature confirmation upon delivery lol if only it was because of a USCIS notification

Did you get anything yet? How about your online status? Has it changed?

Mine - nothing! :(RFE was for I-485, but my online status also hasn't changed for EAD and AP since March 25th... it seems ridiculous already!

Hi All!

It has been a while since I've posted but I have definitely been keeping an eye on the forum. Welcome to all of the new April Filers and congrats to all of those whose cases seem to be moving quickly, DefGraf & gpiper to name a couple. :dancing: Sorry to hear about all of the RFE's going around but seems like they have all been relatively easy fixes.

Heem had his Biometrics done on May 12th in Atlanta. The process itself went smoothly but the wait to get in was a bit long. For anyone that is having their biometrics done in ATL get there early. The entire process took about an hour.

Patiently waiting for this EAD because all play and no work makes Heem a crabby man. :angry: Lol!

Mine - nothing! :(RFE was for I-485, but my online status also hasn't changed for EAD and AP since March 25th... it seems ridiculous already!

No unfortunately not, I keep checking my status but nothing :( My RFE was also for the I-485, that status hasn't changed since May 11 and the status for my EAD and AP hasn't updated since April 4.

I keep checking but don't know what to expect for example my RFE was sent on April 29 but the status didn't update until May 11 so I don't even know if I trust what I'm seeing right now on the USCIS site right now. I mean, if I was lucky, they could have sent my EAD/AP to production already and I wouldn't know until it's in my mailbox - if it goes the same way as it did with my RFE. We'll see - getting anxious! :)

Patiently waiting for this EAD because all play and no work makes Heem a crabby man. :angry: Lol!

Hahaha! I know the feeling! Let's hope he gets his EAD soon! :P

That's really good, could it be moving along relatively fast because you are in Montana? I suspect they have fewer cases to go through possibly. Being in Texas I think there are a fair few cases before mine.

Can't complain as mine has moved fairly quickly really but now hit a standstill. Pesky RFIE has meant me waiting just a little longer.

At least we are seeing movement for March and April filers now ?

Thank you, and yes i think so too. When i had my bio.appt., i was the only one there and they told me that i am the only one that day , but that they accept other ppl from other states, that travel through the State, as walk ins. Haha

There are really not many ppl in montana....

Yep, I'm absolutely desperate to be working, I hate the feeling of not contributing. But I guess I should make the most of the enforced time off, plenty of exploring to be doing here in Texas!
