Finally got my NOA today. It took over a month.

I see some of you got 3 NOAs, I only got one but it looks like it includes I-485 and I-765. The Biometrics appointment is also on the notice, i didn't receive a separate letter.

Do i need to call to find out about the I-130?

Also the biometrics appointment is 2 days before our wedding!!!! This is not convenient at all, but we would rather go than risk being delayed even further. The fact that we have to travel 2 hours to the nearest centre doesn't help either.

Hi! I think what you have is your Biometrics appointment letter; you should also call and ask about your NOAs because you didn't receive them.

If it helps, the receipt numbers are usually MSCxxxxxxxx1 MSCxxxxxxxx2 MSCxxxxxxxx3 (if processed at the NBC).

So maybe you could find out what the receipt number for your I-130 is (my receipt number for the i-130 is between I-485 and I-765).

*EDIT* As I have seen on your timeline that you are adjusting from K-1, you didn't send in the i-130 because you don't need it and you meant i-131.

You only need to do biometrics for I-485 and I-765.

Welcome to Georgia! I suggest you arrive early for your appointment. The wait to get in could take longer than the biometrics itself. ^_^

Oh yeah sorry i meant I-131. Well my receipt numbers are consecutive so i followed your advice and typed in the next number up and it popped up as I-131 being received. It says that if i have not received a notice by May 19th i should call them.

If this is the biometrics appointment letter then it looks like i'm calling USCIS.

Thanks for the tip about getting there early. My husband and i will be driving from Savannah on the Wednesday night before so we can be there nice and early on Thursday morning and will hopefully be back in Savannah by Thursday afternoon. The timing is horrendous because all our out of town guests are arriving on both those days for our second wedding.

Hi all,

Just joined this forum. I'm also an April applicant.

My packet (AOS, AP, EAD) on April 12. Received NOA's a couple of weeks later, with the date being registered as April 20, 2016.

A few weeks after receiving the receipts I got the bio appointment, which I had on May 13, 2016. (check timeline for more detail).

Now just waiting for my EAD/AP and for the interview to be scheduled. Fingers crossed!

Good luck to everyone!

You should call USCIS. The letter you got is the biometrics appointment letter. It has the same I-797C at the top, but you should have recieved three total letters, one for each application you sent for. Luckily you can watch the status online since the other poster pointed out that your case numbers are all in a row, but it's def handy to have all the paperwork you should have.

We also got there about 30 minutes early. By the time my husbands "appointment time" came around, there were about 9 couples/families in line which I'm assuming where the people showing up for 10am. Luckily since we showed up early, I think we only had to wait until 10:10am to go in, but those that showed at 10am or the scheduled time, probably didn't get their numbers called until close to 11am.

hey!!! I'm having my biometrics on the 25th!!! :dancing:

Aaaaaand I already started sending out resume, just to get a headstart and see if anyone loves me enough to wait for me until I get the EAD... you never know I guess.

I'll go take the written test on that same day for my driver license, so hopefully that works too.

We got a new car finally... It is really hard to start a life here when you are not allowed to work and your husband still has a year to graduate  . I assume you all know this or your american half does... but all the same I'd like to remind you all not to let people pull the credit score of the USC if you aren't absolutely sure of it, and that once they pull it, you have 30 days to pull it again at other car dealerships without taking more points off of it.

Hope you are all having it as easy as possible with your new lives

hi,

We submitted our I-485, I-131 and I-765 on April 18th, 2016. All forms were delivered on Apriul 20th, 2016. They cashed checks on May 6th. 2016. We are still waiting (May 18th, 2016 today) for the receipt text. email or mail. Is this delay normal? From what I heard, usually receipt notices arrive within a couple of weeks of delivery of the packet.

Thanks in advance.

Our I 765 was about for this time and we had the same processing timeframes, although we did get the text receipt April 22nd. We JUUST got the I 797C in the mail yesterday. Said all is in process and nothing more is needed from us for now. I think they had an issue with their notices during this time as there are others experiencing the same delays. Are you sure that you are signed up for the text or notification emails on the USCSIS site?
