Can I send the RFE as a normal letter? Am I going to get a notification that they got it?

I'm sending out my RFE response in a few and I'm going to ask for return receipt and tracking number, just for a peace of mind :)

12/17/2015 - Visa Interview in Sweden. We're APPROVED!!!
01/14/2016 - P.O.E. @ Newark International Airport
03/21/2016 - Got married @ town hall
03/22/2016 - AOS, EAD, AP packet sent off
08/03/2016 - Became a Conditional Permanent Resident
05/07/2018 - ROC packet sent off

What's there to lose patience for if you already have your EAD/AP?

Just received my Green Card today We didn't get called into an interview! My card is valid for 10 year though.... That has to be a mistake, right?

I called uscis since it's now 36days since they recieved my case and no bio letter yet... there telling me it's 30days from when you recieved your noa in the mail but the Uscis websites states from its 30days from when USCIS recieved the case... It's conflicting information There responce when I brought it up was the website needs updated, what the hell?? I'm not stressing about it yet until the end of the week passes just drives me crazy how much conflicting information you get... First and hopfully the last time I will have to call uscis

5/5/2016 - sent docs to Chicago, AGAIN (i-485, i-130, i-765, i-864) [Day 0] 5/16/2016 - NOA [Day 11]

5/6/2016 - delivered and signed up for by R Mercado [Day 1] 7/20/2016 - called to submit a service request for my EAD. [Day 76]
5/12/2016 - checks cashed [Day 7] 7/28/2016 - case numbers for i-130 and i-765 started working to say case was received on May 6 [Day 84]

5/16/2016 - got 3 NOAs in the mail, dated May 12, priority date is 7/29/2016 - case status of I-765 is "New Card Is Being Produced", later in the evening - "Case Was Approved" [Day 85]

May 6 (haven't received any emails or texts) [Day 11] 8/1/2016 - received answer for the service request "your case is under review" [Day 89]

6/10/2016 - got biometrics letter in the mail, notice date is June 4, 2016, which 8/1/2016 - received answer for the service request "your case is under review" [Day 89]

is day 30 from when they picked up the package [Day 36] 8/2/2016 - case status of I-765 is "The Card was Mailed to you" [Day 90]

6/21/2016 - Biometrics walk-in in Philadelphia [Day 47] 8/4/2016 - received I-797 Notice of Action for approved I-765 [Day 92]

I actually feel like calling them now for everything XD

I am a uscis maniac after what they did to me haha

but I think you should have asked to talk to a supervisor, cause this is ridiculous that they say to you that the information on the OFFICIAL web-site is incorrect. It's them who are incorrect!

If this was 1.5-2weeks in the future I would of raised hell but the reason I left it be was yes the website says 30days from case recieved my case sat for over 2 weeks before it got touched where as most people's are touched within 2-6 of being recieved ... I figured I'll give them the benefit of the doubt just this once and give them another week if nothing then I'll be on there ###... For them to say 30day from taking it out the mailbox blows my mind cause mail can get lost it can be delayed so using that as a day 1 marker is so stupid... Mailman should be here within the next hour hopfully I'll have a nice surprise letter in there Edited by Moslund

Sadly, that's what they do, they just want to get rid of you telling about these 30-45 days periods.

I really doubt that the system won't let them see what's going on with your case, I think they're just not allowed to tell anything before these periods of waiting pass

Just sent out my RFE response with Express Mail and it should get delivered tomorrow by noon. Now I hope everything will run smoothly from here on out. I can't wait to receive my EAD card! :)

Mailman came and nothing... I feel like I will get everything within the turn around timeframe but my case will be the 1 to go to maximum processing times on everything... First my case takes 2weeks longer to process than most now everyone that got there biometrics letter in last week are the 1s who got there hard copies the same week as me... At least there isn't a RFE yet so that's 1 positive thing... My status does say fingerprint fee recieved may 9th (exactly a week ago but that is also 29 days after they recieved my case) I don't know how soon after they sent the letter out after that update Edited by Moslund

I thought if you send everything through the lawyer then every NOA will come to the lawyer... I guess I'm not right on this point.

But don't give up! Think positive! Maybe it's taking them longer cause they're actually thinking on giving you a GC without an interview! :)

If only they would just give me a GC happy times!! When you file via a lawyer both lawyer and you receive the NOAs if there is a RFE I will receive the package back but the lawyer will receive a copy of the letter as to why there a RFE... Uscis basically send double the letters and double the NOAs out so we both myself and lawyer have copies Edited by Moslund

When you file via a lawyer both lawyer and you receive the NOAs if there is a RFE I will receive the package back but the lawyer will receive a copy of the letter as to why there a RFE... Uscis basically send double the letters and double the NOAs out so we both myself and lawyer have copies

did you check with your lawyer maybe he's got it?

If anything comes in they call me that day... I also have been emailing his paralegal every other week just to check I think I'm driving her crazy haha

I know it's frustrating, but your case isn't as bad yet.. They just really take time. I was waiting for a long time too. Could be much worse.. (I'm sorry Da&De!! I'm so happy your case is moving now!!) Try to do something to keep yourself busy! I was also so impatient! :clock:

05/13/2016 - RFE sent on May 9th [Day 52]

05/15/2016 - received RFE letter [Day 54]

05/16/2016 - sent off RFE response [Day 55]

06/07/2016 - EAD card is being produced, AP approved (online status) [Day 77]

06/10/2016 - EAD card was mailed [Day 80]

06/11/2016 - AP approval letter received [Day 81]

06/15/2016 - EAD/AP card received [Day 85]

07/22/2016 - called, can make a request at the beginning of August (4 months after I applied) [Day 122]

07/26/2016 - got a letter after I made a request online - they got RFE on May 20th, case still pending [Day 126]

08/17/2016 - called again, online request doesn't work, can try it in a month! OMG! [Day 148]

09/02/2016 - submitted an online request [Day 164]

09/15/2016 - online status "New Card Is Being Produced" [Day 178]

09/16/2016 - online status "Case Approved" [Day 179]

09/20/2016 - online status "Card Was Mailed To Me" [Day 183]

09/24/2016 - Green Card received! :dancing:[Day 187]

I know it's frustrating, but your case isn't as bad yet.. They just really take time. I was waiting for a long time too. Could be much worse.. (I'm sorry Da&De!! I'm so happy your case is moving now!!) Try to do something to keep yourself busy! I was also so impatient! :clock:

Yes it could be allot worse I could be that person on the May filers page almost a year and still pending... Your time line seems semi similar to mine with regards to the day number that things occurred on... Glad you were able to walk in and on note I think I may go into hibernation for a few months maybe ill reawaken with a GC in my mailbox

April 8th: AOS sent

April 11th: Recieved at Chicago lockbox [Day 0]

April 25th: NOA1 date (never recieved e-notifications) [Day 14]

April 29th: NOA1 hard copy recieved in the mail [Day 18]

May 9th: "Fingerprint fee recieved" [Day 28]

May 12th: Reciept number's start working on USCIS case status website [Day 31]

May 20th: Biometrics letter recieved [Day 39]

June 1st: Biometric appointment [Day 51]

​November 12th: Interview letter received ​[Day 216]

December 1st: Interview day! APPROVED [Day 235]

December 5th: Case status changed from "fingerprint fee received" to "Approved" post dated Dec 1st [Day 239]

Received approval letter in the mail for Green card [Day 239]

December 6th: "Card was mailed to me" [Day 240]

December 8th: Green card received in mail!!! [day 242]
