Thank you for all of your responses! That helps :) It's definitely a bump in the road however I will be calling them on Monday, I checked the mail box too late today so they were unfortunately already closed when I attempted to do so.

And yes, we did include employment letter and paystubs - everything that was required.

It makes sense if it really is a computer going over the initial I-864 and it failed to find a box checked as 2015 however I'm assuming a lot of people will be getting RFEs then since we filed right before the tax year was up!-Of course I hope that's not the case!

We will be requesting his newest IRS tax transcript and only submit that in our response. I'm assuming we'll have to fill out a completely new I-864? We'll also include several paystubs as we only submitted "the minimum". I'm also thinking about including 12 months of bank statements, this is suggested in the RFE letter.

It has been suggested to add a joint sponsor however I'm feeling stubborn about this as there's absolutely no need to do so lol.

Anyways, I'll call them on Monday and keep you guys posted :) We have 87 days from the letters date to respond but obviously this will be sent in as soon as we can get our hands on his IRS transcript! I read somewhere that an RFE on the I-485 actually holds up the EAD? I hope that's not the case and didn't think it would..

Ps. My case status on the USCIS has not been updated since the 04/04/16 so it's definitely not working at the moment lol

My lawyer suggested 6montha of bank statement so that's what we done also I had a few wire transfers from my mother to our joint account Which I sent both of those letters that shows my mother name and her bank origin going into this account that has both of our names on it.. If it have any wire transfers from your family I would get a letter from the bank to strengthen the shared finance case Edited by Moslund

I understand what you're suggesting however that's more of a thing for the ROC where you have to show combined finances. But yes we will definitely be sending in a lot more paystubs and bank statements - the latter we didn't include in the initial packet.

I think people are getting the evidence requirements mixed up a little.

Proof of income is what USCIS are requesting. The concrete way is to submit the latest tax return (where you may have fallen down on ckibs if they think the 2015 return should have been submitted by now) then pay stubs is another way to prove income, especially if your income has changed since the last tax return.

Finally recommended is a letter from the company confirming employment status and current salary.

All the other surplus evidence is more about proof of intermingling finances for interviews.

I too have heard that an RFE halts the progress of the EAD although others have said there has been minimal delays in receiving their cards.

Ps IRS transcripts can take up to 10 days to arrive in the post although from experience it's been quicker than this.

https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript In case you haven't located the link yet. You may as well get account transcript as well as the tax transcript while you are at it (it's free).

Thank you for your response :) We already went through this so we got it down lol we sent in the 2014 transcript as the most recent as we filed before April 15 and he hadn't even received his W2 before we filed so there was no other way unfortunately.

I really hope my EAD won't get too delayed - I was getting so excited thinking I would get it at the end of this month. Booo!

Oh, that sucks big time, ckibs! I hope it doesn't slow down the process too much!

We didn't include 2015 tax returns because we also filed before April 15th, but we needed a co-sponsor. We used my mother-in-law and she already had her 2015 tax return, so we used that, then my husband's 2012-2013-2014, so I was happy when you said you didn't include 2015 in your package, because it makes sense... Apparently not to the right people, though!

AOS timeline:

3/22 - package mailed to Chicago Lockbox

3/28 - package received (as noted on NOA we got in the mail later)

4/04 - NOAs sent

4/13 - NOA hardcopies received in the mail

4/18 - all three (I-485, I-765, I-131) touched (as per MyCase USCIS tracker)

4/27 - received Biometrics appointment letter

5/09 - Biometrics @ 2 pm

6/15 - called USCIS as there was no further info since the Biometrics appointment

6/16 - EAD/AP cases updated - card is in production
