Trust me I'm itching to start working been unemployed for 6 and half years so this EAD is exciting to finally be in the process of happening... Soon as I get my green card first thing I'm going going back home for a month then coming home and getting a part time job.. My daughter was in daycare 5days a week but we had to pull her out 2months ago and put her in speech therapy (we couldn't afford both since insurance doesn't cover her therapy 2hours a week is the same price as 5days of day care)... As long as she's doing speech therapy I have to settle for part time

May i ask why she needs speech therapy? You said she is two and bilingual, right?

My first son didnt start to talk till he turned 3. Now he is 4 and you can not tell a difference from him and other kids his age.

Now my second son had his doctor check-up about 1 month ago ( 2 year check up) and this american doctor prescribed him over 200 hours speech therapy. Which in my eyes is crazy. He is two and not talking yet. But bilingual and i know exactly that he will catch up quickly.

Which is why i am not taking him to speech therapy.

Can't log to the USCIS case status either... I am not too worried just like Moslund, we just need to wait and hope for the best!

Waiting on that biometrics letter :clock:

Volunteering at an animal shelter is an awesome idea!! I might do that :) So bored too I need to work!!

Anyone had any luck logging on to the USCIS website?

Not yet I checked this morning first I had tried in a few days with no luck... I'll prob check it once a week I'm personally not overly concern ever about checking it... I do stalk the mailman as soon I see him enter my street tho haha but other than that I'm not being overly obsessive with it... I have my daughter to occupy me during the day so days go fairly fast running around after her

Need to start working , I am bored AH, waiting on this biometric letter

She 2years 4months she only speech English... She went for an evaluation 6months ago at 23months cause she only spoke 10words... We opted out of speech therapy and do go with daycare... Daycare was going great for 6months then the kids in her class started talking she was the only 1 still greatly behind and started using violence as frustration outlet from Not being able to communicate... We decided to take her out daycare and focus on her speech so currently only knows around 30-40words which at her age she would be at 200-250 words easily... Her evaluation showed her at the equivalent of a 12-18month old child and she's 29months (communication skills that is)... Our dr didn't force anything on us she's was basically like these are the things that are available to yous if you choose to use these services and these are the phone numbers if you want to inquire into them or if you need referrals call me and I'll set them up... Her therapist said we will reevaluate every 3months and see how sees progressing Edited by Moslund

So - I received an RFE for my I-485 today, it's dated April 29th so that's late AF lol.

There's two boxes checked on the letter:

- Submit all supporting tax documentation submitted to the IRS for the most recent tax year (as we filed BEFORE April 15 we included 2014 as the most recent tax year, I guess that didn't fly?)

- Based on the documents submitted on the I-864 the petitioner does not meet 125% of the poverty guideline for the household size.

I've gone over my copy of the AOS packet I submitted and I have NO clue why they don't believe my husband meets the poverty guideline - even if we submitted for tax year 2014 - and I'm hoping you guys can help me solve this!

First I checked what I put in the household size which was correct, I put a household size of 2. Then I checked the poverty guidelines where the petitioner has to meet 125% which for a household size of 2 is $20,025. My husband made $50,974 in 2014 and actually made more in 2015 so how can he NOT meet the guideline ??

With the I-864 we even include 3 years worth of tax returns even though it was optional. His lowest income was in 2012 but even THEN he was way above the current minimum!

We didn't include assets (his house and such) as we - again - believe he was above the 125%

I also double-checked the 6 paystubs we submitted these even reflects his new salary and they're way above the 125% they're asking for when you add it up to a full years worth.

SO, I'm unsure about how to respond to this RFE. Obviously we will send in whatever needed from the IRS in regards to tax year 2015 but what do we do in regards to the statement about him not meeting the poverty guidelines?

Underneath the box checked it says "submit evidence of assets that meet the standards listed below or obtain a joint sponsor. Assets must equal the stated difference between the petitioner/sponsor's household income and 125% of the poverty guideline".

I guess we could have one of his family members be a joint sponsor BUT he DOES meet the guidelines so what to do here ?? Send back a new I-864 with the already sent info but only include the newest tax year (2015)?

Ckibs that makes no sence why they RFE if you husband meets the threshold maybe they wanted this year tax return and that purely why the RFE happened... I'm getting concern for myself we have 3 as a household (him myself our daughter) cause if you got an RFE cause of him earning 50k then maybe I will get a RFE since my husband earned 52k, 55k then 54k (he done more overtime the previous yr hence the lower income in 2015)... I don't really know how to address that RFE I would personally call Uscis to clarify what exactly is required from this RFE
