That i didn't sing my i-485

which is not true, cause i have the scans of everything i sent them and it IS signed.

I feel like crying now. cause i called the uscis today again and they told me that i have to put the rejection notice to the docs that i want to resubmit. when i asked them to send me a copy of the rejection notice, they told me that IT HAS NOT BEEN 30 DAYS SINCE THEY F-KING SENT IT for them to send a copy.

which is may 6, which is friday, and i was again told to wait and she was like "and you'd better call us back on monday, cause you may rceive the case friday evening and then the officer you will be speaking to on friday may just tell you to call back later on monday"

I told her that I already wasted two weeks because someone told me to wait until those 30 days pass since the time i filed the docs. and that i don't need her to tell me to call back and all i want is a COPY of the rejection notice.

She told me i have to wait once again

and i hang up after saying "this is how the government works"

getting angry at the them wont get anywhere, may even get you further from where you want to be.

I'll tell you what

Call them today

And just ask what's going on, but be persistent

They may tell you that it's gonna be 30 days

But ask them to check your name in the system and tell that you"re worried cause you know about cases when people wasted their time waiting for 30 days to know that they have been rejected and blah-blah-blah

Don't waste additional days, you don't need it

It won't hurt to call

And, btw, the guy I talked to yesterday actually have me my case number

And I could check it online and it says that it was rejected

So even if you are rejected you may ask for your case number

Moreover they say that it usually takes up to 10 days to get NOA, so I think you should call and ask

mine came in the mail the next day. literally NOA1 then next day biometrics.

This pains me to hear. I'm so sorry you're dealing with this hardship and that the process hasn't even really begun for you - especially since you're saying you DID sign the form...

Da&dDe USCIS has really failed you and they are basically with no answers here and hence just trying to push you around and buy some time. We as spouses of US citizen are stranded on a single log and to do anything jobs, car license even a freaking phone connection is based on us being from here....its really saddening but we wish you good positive vibes... there are almost 50 filers from April and we are all here don't lose your heart and apply once again...I'm sure this time it will work for you faster then the others...

Every now and then they do something similar I had faced a similar situation while trying to get my EAD card on my student visa, their apparent system failure took me 8 months to get my card where as the rest get it in 3 months.....

I called them again (for the 6th time i guess)

and the immigration officer I talked to told me that my case was rejected, which means that i can resubmit everything once again as though i never applied (cause there are lines where they ask you whether you applied for EAD for example and what was the answer)

And as they didn't take the payment and they didn't actually process the case I may start all over again regardless of this mistake.

So i've already collected the docs and will have my husband sign them and take pictures and send them again.

One thing my friend told me what i should have done is putting one extra prepaid envelope to the docs so that they could have sent it back to me WITH a tracking number. So i'm definetelly going to do it this time

Cause I had a call from the post office today and they told me that they checked everything they could and they didn't find any package for me. And as there was no tracking number they wouldn't be able to locate the package.

So this is how my story ends right now

Collecting docs again and this time I'll only send the forms themselves and the supporting docs that are actually required, no additional evidence as i did last time.
