I feel your pain still waiting on my Noas it's been 18 days so far since mailing it off... I'm so happy for everyone who's journey is moving forward but I'm super jealous... If I don't have my Noas by end of month looks like I'll be moving to the may group :(

Naaah stick around this group, you will catch up!

This group seems to be one of the friendliest and most helpful I would say. I do check in now and again to the March board too as I filed late that month but most seem to have progressed quite rapidly.

What excactly does it mean, when the processing time for my field office for the i-485 says "august 24th , 2015"?

Is it that they are currently working on applications being filed on that day? So the processing time is 8+ months already?

Sorry if this is a dumb question...

april 1st: sent i-485 to chicago lockbox

april 4th: i-485 delivered to chicago lockbox

april 7th: "biometrics fee received and accepted"

april 10th: email notification of acceptance and routing to NBC for processing

april 11th: hardcopy i-797C in mail (notice date april 8th)

april 30th: received biometrics letter for: may 11th @ 9am

june 2nd: received interview letter for: july 6th @ 11.10am

july 6th: Interview day---no decision was made

july 13th: sent e-mail to congressman, asking for an inquiry on my case.

Good morning guys. A quick update, I just got back from my biometrics appointment in Atlanta ASC.

We had to go early because Atlanta morning traffic is crazy! We arrived about 7am for my 9am appointment.

I was third in line but had to step aside since 8am appointments were priority.

After the 8am people got in the rest of us were lead inside. I was done before 9am.

Now to more waiting

Yes you're correct however I think the estimate on here + keeping tracking of previous filers from VJ is more accurate - that was at least my ecxperience during the K-1 visa :)

Well as all the stories here show it's usually around 6 months no matter what office you are with

just look at the immigration timelines here

i have a friend who filed everything in the middle of december 2015 in california and she has her interview scheduled for may 20, 2016, which is exactly 6 months from the date of filing

so just don't think it will take you longer than it usually takes

on this forum I'm gonna be the one with delays, you guys don't worry ;)
