And I guess it's their general response to everyone cause those are practically the only reasons they could have denied it

So you should put that letter they sent you with you EAD form and also write a cover letter saying that you have signed it and haven't attached any money cause you don't have to according to the category of filers you fall into

Thank you. It makes me calmer now. In fact we would not have the money to pay the fee in that time. I will write the letter and send tomorrow with the other documents. I'm thinking of also send a copy of the I-797C, notice of action which includes the receipt number MSCxxxxx the I-485 that she received.

What do you think about?

What do you think about?

I'm more than sure that you should submit EAD form (signed this time :)

Copy of the receipt notice of I-485

Those photos and whichever is required like copy of marriage certificate

And a cover letter explaining what has happened

That's it

No money is required from you cause this is what is written in the instructions to the EAD form

But to be 100% sure yourself you may call the number of uscis which gives you the info about the filing fees

I tried to make sense of this but I just can't seem to wrap my head around it. The letter is saying that the fee you paid for the I-765 will be returned to you as it was an incorrect amount however you didn't pay anything for the EAD application since you sent it off with the AOS application - so what are they returning to you ??

The letter is also saying that you need to sign the I-765 and then resubmit it. On one hand I was thinking that you wouldn't have to send in photos and documentation since they're asking for it HOWEVER it doesn't state it's an RFE and they're saying your application has been denied and that they invite you to re-apply. I'm sorry but I'm afraid you'll have to send it all in again (the I-765 that is). And you'll probably have to pay the fee for the I-765 since it now probably will be considered being two seperat applications.

Just my two cents. That sucks! :/

Thank you. In fact we do not have the money to pay the fee in that time. I send the documentation tomorrow along with a letter explaining. I ask God that this does not harm the progress of AOS her.

Thanks. When we receive a response from USCIS, let you know. Thanks so much

I sent the G-1145 form, but the USCIS may ignored, I never received email or text, only 3 letters in my mailbox.

Packet received USCIS day 04/04/16

NOA received by mail on 04/22/16

Don't worry about the electronic notifications. Once you have access to the USCIS case tracker you can sign up for email and text notifications there.

Me too!

Grr - it is so frustrating, isn't it? I sent my stuff a little over a month ago and I only got the first NOAs in the mail so far. I am getting so impatient and a little worried already...I am jealous of all the guys who got their biometrics appointments.

I wouldn't worry too much, I'm sure we'll hear something soon. Yeah, it's frustrating having to wait every day and also not being able to check the status online. My sister is getting married in October so I just hope everything is done by then...
