You can call anyways

I'm just saying that the first thing they ask you about is "what's your case number?"

And when you tell them you haven't got one yet cause they didn't notify you on anything, they tell you we can't help you at this point

And the representative I talked to (when it was 18 days since they received my docs) told me "you just have to wait@"

When I asked about the time frames, she said 30-45 days after they receive the docs

However, the uscis site says to call the customer servise if there was no answer at all after 30 days

I am assuming it was sent to the chicago lock box. By what i have been seeing on here persons are getting response ontime. If you sent a large packet it could take awhile before they go through all your paper work,

I don't really know what you would describe as large but we filed the required paperwork (I had an additional sheet cause I was out of status which needed approved to put me back in status maybe that the holdup??) included 7 pictures and the other documents required like birth certificates tax returns and so on... And yes it would be the Chicago lockbox I'm in Virginia

yay! i hope you will get your interview (if even) appointment soon!

When did you sent your package away? I sent mine away the 8th and still not heard anything.. Although the I came over on a k1 my I-94 expired and I became out of status... I had to file an addition piece of paperwork to become in status again... Technically because I went out status technically I over stayed past my visa maybe that's why we both haven't heard anything as early everyone else?? We also have been married over 2 years

i was also hoping that, having two kids together and have been married since 4 years now, would mean something to them, but unfortunately it does not. :/ but yeah, maybe at the interview. we will have to bring the kids there anyway, since we don't know anyone here ! ha!

april 1st: sent i-485 to chicago lockbox

april 4th: i-485 delivered to chicago lockbox

april 7th: "biometrics fee received and accepted"

april 10th: email notification of acceptance and routing to NBC for processing

april 11th: hardcopy i-797C in mail (notice date april 8th)

april 30th: received biometrics letter for: may 11th @ 9am

june 2nd: received interview letter for: july 6th @ 11.10am

july 6th: Interview day---no decision was made

july 13th: sent e-mail to congressman, asking for an inquiry on my case.
