Hello everyone!

I have an interview date already. I just want to ask to those who are done with the AOS interview, what did you bring at the interview? Did you bring bank statement , shared accounts and etc? Thanks.

We brought everything; bank statements, salary information, pictures, shared account statements, the entire I-129F package.... We were not asked for any of it. But that is entirely up to the officer to decide.

Having said that, I would still suggest you make copies of everything you can think of to show that your relationship is real and that the US citizens has the means to support both of you. The last thing you want to risk is being turned away at the interview because of lack of evidence.

In our case we were denied because one of the pages from the medical was missing. Very minor and thankfully it only delayed the process by a few days but a hassle nevertheless.

Just a small update on my case

I called USCIS 2 weeks ago and found out my case got assigned to an officer I was told by tier 2 I will NOT need an interview that there was a mark on my case stating that... I call today and find out it got assigned to a second officer and now I need an interview ARGH my case is ready to be scheduled for interview but no interview has been scheduled yet... I was also told in real time information the last interview to be scheduled at Norfolk office was April 3rd... I hold out hope I will have my interview scheduled within the next 2weeks since they received my documents April 11th and there currently scheduling April 3rd cases for interviews... I instantly have knots in my stomach with nervousness I thought I dodged that hurdle!!! I guess not.... time to get pictures together and print off anything and everything in both our names... my case status still shows "fingerprint fee received" even tho it should of updated a few days ago to say "ready to be scheduled for an interview" goes to show the case status website is still super glitchy and doesn't like to update.

Hope everyone else is having better luck than me and ocngrats to any approvals that has happened recently

Look for ckibs posts, hers was wrong as well recently. You will need to fill out an i90 if I'm not mistaken, but won't have to pay since it was their fault. You should also go to the nearest field office to get a stamp to act as temporary green card. I've heard it takes quite a while to get it back though

We had the interview earlier today at Santa Ana office. Approved on spot. It was on time. ( actually my husband said it was 10 minutes before our appointment ?) The officer just asked general questions (checking information on the forms mostly) and checked if we have the original documents of the birth certificate for both of us and our marriage certificate. He asked how we met, timeline and what I was doing before, any new documents we want to submit. It was a friendly interview for about 30 minutes. Last thing, he asked if we both were wearing the wedding ring/band.

I asked for the stamp on passport. The officer that interviewed us gave a document requested for the stamp on my passport but the staff at the documents counter on the first floor told us to wait for the actual card by mail. And if we don't get in within a month then just go back there again ?

So, thank you so much for all VJ members and good luck for everyone ?

03/23/16. Phoenix lockbox transferred our case (I-130 only) to Nebraska, cashed check, received NOA via text/email.

03/28/16. Received NOA1 I-130 hard copy by USPS

04/11/16. Package I-485, I-765 arrived at Chicago lockbox the second time.

04/19/16. Received NOA1 for I-485&I-765 via Text&email with new case number. They also cashed the check today.

Hi people!

It seems that the end is near for this whole batch of applicants! Today I woke up to an email from USCIS saying that they had mailed my new card! NO INTERVIEW!! It came completely out of the blue and I didn't get any email for the approval of my case or the issue of the card, so I got to skip that part of the stress and just found out once it had been mailed!!! I am counting on it being here Monday/Tuesday :dancing: . This is literally the first time we've been on the lucky side of things when it comes to USCIS, so I hope it doesn't get annulled by anything else and I can finally plan a visit to my family!

Exciting!
