Hey guys,

so it seems that there's still a few of us stuck without GC. I was wondering if it would be worth it to call USCIS to know about my case?

My NOA1 is dated April 18 and the last status online was on June 30, saying that they had received my Request for initial evidence. At this point I just want to know if it has been forwarded to my field office or not. Waiting times for the Dallas one (where it should be transferred to) is like 10-11 freaking months, so once it gets there I know it'll be sitting on a pile forever, but I want to at least know that it's not still stuck at NBC.

I have my working permit, have a great job and don't need to travel for non-emergency reasons any time soon, so I don't have an urgent need for the GC, but I also would like some information as to where my case is at. Should I bother calling and going through the whole tier 2 request ordeal, or should I wait a few (how many?) more months?

Hey guys,

April 25th: NOA1 date (never recieved e-notifications) [Day 14]

April 29th: NOA1 hard copy recieved in the mail [Day 18]

May 9th: "Fingerprint fee recieved" [Day 28]

May 12th: Reciept number's start working on USCIS case status website [Day 31]

May 20th: Biometrics letter recieved [Day 39]

June 1st: Biometric appointment [Day 51]

December 1st: Interview day! APPROVED [Day 235]

December 5th: Case status changed from "fingerprint fee received" to "Approved" post dated Dec 1st [Day 239]

Received approval letter in the mail for Green card [Day 239]

December 6th: "Card was mailed to me" [Day 240]

December 8th: Green card received in mail!!! [day 242]

Wife called that we received another RFE - I-72 form, Surgeon need to answer part 5 item 5 & C and need to do test. I guess the surgeon that we went doesn't know what he is doing.

thats the thing tho its not at my local office its at a local office out of state.. im in virignia and its at a local office in texas so would it go off the data from the norfolk, virginia office cause that is where an interview would take place if i need 1 or would of go off the current location of my where my case currently is which is texas... I guess the only way of knowing is it to to submit it and see what message it get... I dont overly trust the processing data times they post on there website even tho its delayed by 1.5-2months.. thanks for the info!!

Just try and you'll see! :)

And yes, definitely don't trust the website! Mine says 4 months, but when I called they told me it's actually more like 5-6 months!

They don't update the information!

And they also told me that they update the online status of your case just once a month, so if someone checks it every day it has no point! :D

Thanks for all the support fellow APril filers I was given a 10 year GC, probably because its been more thn 2 years since we file AOS. REceived the card Sep 2, 2016 with no interview.

oh you applied two years ago? I've read before a lot of times that when the processing of an AOS takes more than 2 years, the normal procedure is to skip the conditional 2year GC and give you the 10 year one.

If it's not updated then there a good chance it will probably be waived... If the answer is yes you've been updated to "ready to be scheduled for interview" then I'm afraid it's just a Waiting game

yeah, no I never got to ready to be scheduled. last update was NBC received my RFIE reply. alright, I'll start readying myself mentally to call USCIS. thanks!!!

AP Document was produced yesterday. Seems like that gets approved pretty quick if you apply after AOS packet.

03/15/16. Sent out I-130 and AOS package but instead of filing it concurrently, I misunderstood and filed it separately.

03/23/16. Phoenix lockbox transferred our case (I-130 only) to Nebraska, cashed check, received NOA via text/email.

03/28/16. Received NOA1 I-130 hard copy by USPS

04/08/16. Received the package that we sent to Chicago. Case rejected due to improper filing? We sent it back to Chicago together with I-130 NOA 1 that we received last week (also RFE just in case too) sameday.

04/11/16. Package I-485, I-765 arrived at Chicago lockbox the second time.

04/19/16. Received NOA1 for I-485&I-765 via Text&email with new case number. They also cashed the check today.

05/02/16. Received Biometric letter, scheduled on May 9

05/09/16. Biometric completed

05/25/16. I-485 Case updated online, case is ready to be scheduled

06/29/16. I-130 Case updated online, case was transferred..

06/30/16. Submit USCIS E-request to update/expedite I-765

Congrats

They transferred my case to a case worker in FL and also receive RFE for medical examination and vaccination, I mailed a response to my case worker in FL .. Hopefully they make a decision on my case soon.

Form I-695 deadline date is September 17 but I mailed it a week after I receive the notice.

2 weeks after response to 2nd RFE form I-693,

I-485 approved Sept 9, No interview ?

February 17, 2016 - SLEC medical done!!!                                                                       July 16, 2016 - recieved an email EAD case is under review

February 23, 2016 - USEM interview approved! The CO has only 3 questions! LOL        July 22, 2016 - 2nd SR for EAD (92nd day from the received date)

March 4, 2016 - K1 visa packet received!!                                                                      August 2, 2016 - EAD status changed to New Card is being produced

March 8, 2016 - CFO seminar done                                                                               August 3, 2016 - EAD/AP status changed to CASE was APPROVED!

March 19, 2016 - arrived at my POE Los Angeles                                                          August 9, 2016 - EAD/AP combo card received!
