Yes in Rhode Island. I submit my rfe in Rhode island uscis. They received it 08/ 24 and today 08/26 card is being produced. Your time will come very very soon

Based of Harlingen's last update they should technically reach April cases end of September or start of October so it currently looks like I have another 4-8weeks before I hear anything... With any luck they work extra hard or have very little applications at that office and can squeeze my file in the next week or 2... I have a sneaky feeling I will hear something around my birthday which is start of October

Already saddened I won't make my sister wedding so next on the agenda is go home for Christmas so Aslong as I get an approval by end of November I'll be fairly happy... I will be rather frustrated if 2017 rolls round and I'm still at fingerprint fee recieved

My EAD was approved but I never heard about my I-131 (Advance Parole). However, when I received the EAD card, at the bottom it says that the card can be used as a advance parole. I-131 status still hasn't changed. Has that happened to any of you guys?

Got my AP approved today. I applied for it after I got my EAD, so it took just three weeks to get approved!

Hi there - I also applied for AP just recently and received the NOA with a received date of 24th August. If my timeline is the same as yours, we should get approved in around 2 weeks. My concern is that people who leave the country with AP may have trouble getting back in at customs, our lawyer said this risk is even higher for people that entered on the ESTA visa waiver program (which I did). Does anyone know if it's going to be an issue for me?

Hey! Yeah, for me it look just under a month to get it, so you'll get yours around Sep 20 probably.

As for the risk it's always there but I haven't seen many negative experiences here on the forum - given you carry all your documentation with you.

Of course, if you can wait to travel - definitely better to wait. But with our NYC/LI office timelines, we probably won't get interviews until late December - January and then potentially some more in case it's not approved on the spot. So it's good to have the AP for emergencies.

As elliepro said there is always a risk the question is is the reason your leaving worth worst case scenario? Which is getting slapped with the a 3year ban... I know you're leaving for your sister wedding... I was in that exact same situation except my sister gets married in a week and half time even tho it's devasting to make the choice not to go and even tho I would do anything to be there... In the end I opted to not go even tho it kills me inside but I weighed the potential outcomes up... If I went and got knocked back at customs that would results in a 10year ban for me and being separated from my husband and 2.5yr old daughter... Losing that in the end wasn't worth standing at the alter with my sister.. If I did go and get the ban I wouldn't make enough money back home to bring them over to the UK and my only 1 co sponser i would of had would of been parents who both retired within the past year... In all honesty you have a pretty good chance of everything going fine but there still that risk

If your prepared to lose everything You have right now and be apart from your husband then go... even tho it's a tiny chance you will be denied reentry it can still happen... You need to be okie with the consequences worst case scenario

I think that too, we probably will get it approved but do we want to take the risk using it. As Moslund said, the reason is for my sister's wedding in October. I feel like if I left, I would just worry the whole trip about coming back! From what I've read, I also haven't seen many people get denied at the border

You're 100% right - it's weighing up the pros and cons. What we've been told is that if we do get denied, our whole application is abandoned so we'd have to go through applying for AOS again. That would be extremely frustrating. It's already frustrating and taking too long imagine doing it all over! I didn't realise they can ban you too!!

I'll have to see how I feel nearer the time but right now I'm not sure if I'm willing to take that risk. Thanks for the advice.

If you have a 3 or 6 month over stay can't remember which 1 it's a 3years ban from the US if your have a year or more overstay you get a 10years ban... I haven't heard anyone having problems on re entry so you might be fine... My personally I have too much to lose to risk that tiny % Edited by Moslund

I didn't overstay my visa at all - the VWP (Esta) allows you to stay for 90 days and all our documents were filed within the 90 days. Is it still safe for me to leave?
