Isn't it better you have 10 year GC?

Sure and I would have loved to keep it however I knew it was wrong in our case since I came here on a K1 visa and we've been married less than 2 years. Keeping it and hoping they "wouldn't notice" would only come around and bite me later on if I didn't apply for removal of the conditional permanent status in 1 year and 9 months - like we're supposed to - then the USCIS would think I had abandoned my status as a lawful permanent resident and our process would go down the drain.

Our Visa Journey (L) (See our Immigration timeline for a very detailed K-1 and AOS process)

08/17/2015 - I-129F petition/packet sent off
12/17/2015 - Visa Interview in Sweden. We're APPROVED!!!
01/14/2016 - P.O.E. @ Newark International Airport
03/21/2016 - Got married @ town hall
03/22/2016 - AOS, EAD, AP packet sent off
08/03/2016 - Became a Conditional Permanent Resident
05/07/2018 - ROC packet sent off

06/12/2019 - ROC approved (no RFE, no transfer, no interview)

i do find it very laughable that it takes days to sent the card into production daye after the interview but its takes a year to get a card printed so it says 2 instead of 10... hopefullly that notice will comes in super fast for you.. It's ridiculas it really is

Oh I completely agree! It IS silly. She said they're currently on January 2016 however it could take 9-12 months for me to receive the card. I don't know what to expect; when I called to inquire about my I-485 application they said it would be another 3-4 months of processing however got the approval of my GC only 7 days later - without the need for an interview... They're all over the place! lol

I had my wife just redo her medical since it was expired and will pick up the sealed I-693 tomorrow if everything went well on her medical results. Hopefully we are chosen for a interview waiver after I mailed back the I-72 form.

Seems like they want you not to have an interview. If you have the time, contact your congressperson and explain to them you already sent an i693 when you filed for aos and provide them with a copy of the form you have sent. Ask them to contact uscis and try to resolve things this way. I'd also contact the doctor you've been to asking for another sealed copy, explaining the one you sent might be lost.

Hey JAPINATL! Our interview was at 11:45a today in ATL too. I wonder if we crossed paths? How funny..... Our interview was very quick and easy also. Our IO was super pleasant and friendly. We just went in and had a conversation and as we talked he checked things off on the application. He told us we were approved and gave us this form that he and Heem signed saying we were approved. We were SUPER nervous going in because even though I spent days preparing the folder to take we got 45 minutes down the road and I realized WE LEFT HIS PASSPORT! Our IO said he understood and it was no big deal because we provided plenty of copies.

I know we haven't posted much since the early stages of our process but THANK YOU to everyone in this group for your updates, advice and input. With all of your help and the rest of the VJ community we had a problem & lawyer free process of only 6 months. I cannot express my gratitude to everyone enough. Thank You! Congratulations to all that have been approved and with GC in hand and good luck to those still waiting. See everyone in two years for ROC.

It's all ridiculous! i filed 1,5 months later than you had and my interview is on September 14th in your local office!

if you count on what you say they told you, then my interview should have been scheduled for no earlier than mid November - December!

hold on there, it looks like everything they say regarding time is just useless to rely on :)
