Have you tried calling the USCIS?

My I-485 case was stuck on "RFE sent" from April 29, not even an update on the received RFE response. I called on July 27, so after 3 months. The officer said I couldn't submit a service request because apparently the case was still within the normal processing frame at my local USCIS office and that I should expect at least another 3 months of processing. HOWEVER on August 3rd my case randomly updated to "Case approved" and "Card being produced" so it might have worked ? Worth a try

That's great!! I tried to make the online request, because it's been more than 4 months after I submitted, but it doesn't let me.. so I don't know.. maybe I should call as well??

I just called and they told me that my local office is still working on a case from Feb 19th... so I can try to submit the online request in a month again. (which I was already told a month ago..)

This is something I couldn't see on the website. It says the processing time is about 4 months, which is obviously an estimate!

Also, they update the online status ONCE a month!

Don't believe anything you see on the website!

Notification received of interview in Seattle office being scheduled on September 9th for the status change. This morning received notification that the interview was cancelled with no explanation given other than this:

On August 17, 2016, we cancelled your interview for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC169XXXXXXX, and mailed you a cancellation notice. We will notify you by mail if the appointment is rescheduled, a decision is made, or if we need something from you. Please follow any instructions in the notice.

Anyone else running into this? I know of one other that also received a cancellation notice but they had scheduled in for an incorrect time around 2AM or something like that.

What a roller coaster. Exciting and prepping for the interview and then 7 days later it gets cancelled with no explanation. Beyond frustrating.

There is someone from the March filers this happened to it was scheduled for end of May but canceled the day after the update appeared... They are still waiting for a rescheduled date... When they called tier 2 and went to info pass appointment they said they don't understand why it was cancelled and just to wait for a new appointment to be sent out that was in May and there still waiting for that appointment

Hey there, I got the same message this morning at about 7am. Stay positive it would either be reschedule in the next few days, if not I read some old posts show up on that day anyways. I live in Bellevue and driving to Seattle is about an 45 mins for me. Go for the interview any which way on the scheduled date and see what happens. Thats what I am gonna do. Nothing to lose right!

I came here to only check your post, after reading your post I doubt there is anything wrong with our package, it maybe just the Officer who would be interviewing us may be going on a leave or something. Thus rescheduling our interview or everyone's in Seattle during those days.

Your Case Status: Initial Review

And my online status says Notice was Returned to USCIS because the post office could not deliver it.

I'm guessing it's the answer to a service request I put in over a month ago, as everything is now approved and card in hand. And I'm not sure I believe it couldn't be delivered, as everything else, including the card, has been with no issues. Do I need to put a request online in to get it sent, or just ignore it?!

Same thing happened to us with the EAD approval letter and had the status update to undeliverable. USPS doesn't show it was even sent that I could find. I was told previously by tier 1 that it is having the card that is important so not to worry. We went ahead and did the online request for documentation not received and it was just reviewed a few days ago. Status now is amended notice was mailed. I figured you never know with USCIS and so the more documentation the better to have the actual approval letter in hand. Probably will never be needed but just to be safe. In any case I don't think you have anything at all to worry about.

For Seattle VJ members. Interview rescheduled for September 20th after being cancelled for the 13th. It looks like the incorrect receipt number was updated with the status which has now been corrected as well.

Got my EAD approved today. Took about 121 days. My I-131 (advance parole) is still pending. Don't they usually send EAD/AP combo cards? Is it possible that they will send me EAD and AP separately ?

It's very unlikely. They must be slacking again on the updates. Wait around a while, Ap should update soon

Received an unexpected mail from USCIS, My online status is Fingerprint Fee Received until now. All documents has been submitted including I-693 to NBC, the I-693 that we submitted before was transcribe from DS-3025. Mail contains to submit a completed medical examination. So my question is do we need to complete a new medical examination or get a copy again that we sent before from the civil surgeon? I believe they lost the I-693 since the office that are processing my I-485 is in Florida.

I received it in white paper: An I-72 is a form issued by USCIS when requesting additional evidence. It is not a form that you can complete or obtain, but usually takes the form of a letter issued at or after an interview. Look at the letter that was sent or given to you by USCIS. That is the original I-72.
