Still can't check any receipt numbers. Husband called on 7/15 and I don't think he understood what he was asking for OR what they told him. All he remembers is that something is "ready" and that it won't arrive until the end of August. So what that is, who knows. He thinks maybe it was EAD approved-- but it would have arrived by now. Is it lost in the mail? Was it GC "ready for interview" he doesn't know. He called again today. He believed them when Tier 1 said Tier 2 was having a busy day and call back tomorrow. This is insanity.

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

27 Apr 2016: Electronic NOA1 for all 3 :dancing:
29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)
29 Jul 2016: EAD/AP Approved ~3 hours after online service request
04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)
08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

14 Feb 2015: Mailed I-129f to Dallas Lockbox. (L) (Most expensive Valentine's card I've ever sent!)

17 Feb 2015: NOA1 "Received Date"
19 Feb 2015: NOA1 Notice Date
08 Aug 2015: NOA2 email! :luv: (173 days from NOA1)

17 Aug 2015: Sent to NVC

?? Aug 2015: Arrived at NVC

25 Aug 2015: NVC Case # Assigned

31 Aug 2015: Left NVC for Consulate in San Jose

09 Sep 2015: Consulate received :dancing: (32 days from NOA2)

11 Sep 2015: Packet 3 emailed from embassy to me, the petitioner (34 days from NOA2).

18 Sep 2015: Medicals complete

21 Sep 2015: Packet 3 complete, my boss puts a temporary moratorium on all time off due to work emergency :clock:

02 Oct 2015: Work emergency clears up, interview scheduled (soonest available was 5 business days away--Columbus Day was in there)

13 Oct 2015: Interview

13 Oct 2015: VISA APPROVED  (236 days from NOA1)

19 Oct 2015: Visa-in-hand

24 Oct 2015: POE !

15 Dec 2015: Fiance's mother's B-2 visa interview: APPROVED! So happy she will be at the wedding!

My suggestion would be to get him to call when they open. As this is what tier one told me to do as they had stopped transferring calls within three hours the other day.

Have you requested to file a service request? You can do online or with tier 2. Tier one said they can't file them for people who don't have receipt numbers showing up as they can't see them either. But you should file a service request as it is now considered out of processing time guidelines. I was told it would be answered within 5 days, fingers crossed.

They do seem to be doing a mass update of receipt numbers but I think they've only reached end of April/beginning of May ( they are working from most recent) so hopefully we will see statuses soon.

AOS from K1

4/20/16: Package delivered

4/27/16: NOA1

5/23/16: Biometrics

6/3/16: Ready for interview status on I-485

7/5/16: SR1 filed (over 75 days)

7/26/16: SR2 filed (over 90 days) - 96 days

You should call yourself. My husband doesn't speak much English and I handle most of his paperwork anyway. When they ask who you are just say you're the petitioner for you husband. He has to be present to agree and state his name.

I agree with the last person who mentioned to call in the morning. However, I honestly haven't gotten any help from calling and I've called twice. They did tell me that my case was "ready for an interview to be scheduled", however our I-485 doesn't say that. Maybe that's what your husband heard?

Just out of curiosity... are you able to check your I-485? What does it say? I'm still on "fingerprints fee received" from 4/28, hoping that my interview will be waived.

Just wanted to let you guys know that my EAD was approved last friday 07/22 (day where my I-765 online status started to work). This morning, status changed to "Card Was Mailed to Me", no tracking number though.

Thanks to the advice of 2 VJ april filers members, I went ahead and signed up for "my USPS dashboard" and downloaded the iOS app. It worked like a charm. Got a notification from the app that I have a package on its way. I can now follow my EAD delivery. USCIS sent it as a Priority Mail 2-day. Delivery expected on Friday 29th, so exactly 1 week after approval. The "my USPS dashboard" tool is tied to your address, but if you have a tracking number, you can also add it in. Back to work August, 1!

I also got a mail about my SR from last 07/08 (75-day mark) saying that my case was still under review.

I've just been threw that experience with DMV... They said they couldn't process my DL on this past Monday cause it needed immigration verification but I called today and they said it cleared yesterday so luckily mine was cleared writhing 1 day... To save a wasted trip to DMV why don't you call Texas DMV main office... DMV here told me to to call the VA DMV line to check on the verification so I don't waist a trip for no reason... My SSN didn't need verification but my DL did so I would go ahead and try your SSN application... The day I got my EAD in the mail was the day I applied for my SSN and no verification of my EAD was needed but when I applied for my DL 2weeks after my EAD arrived It needed immigration's verification

I will try to apply SSN, thank you for suggestions.

Yes I can still do that, but I just got EAD yesterday, so they still don't have my EAD number in their system. That's bad!!

3 weeks since interview, 2 weeks since contacting congressman ( no answer). I just now contacted the Senator...

I hope you get real progress soon, the most frustrating part of this process is the randomness:(

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

When they told you at DMV you needed verified did they fax any of your documents anywhere? They took my passport, EAD and my i797c for my I-485 and faxed them all over to immigration to make the verification of the EAD go faster... Just a thought of they didn't do that maybe that's why it's taken so long to verify... Even on USCIS SAVE's website it says if verification is needed the more documents they have the faster it is for them to verify you Edited by Moslund
